Rank the Narnia books from best to least-favorite

If there is already a thread like this, please inform me. I didn't see one. I will also combine all of the results via the Borda count method. Here's mine:

The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe
The Magician's Nephew
Prince Caspian
The Last Battle
The Silver Chair
Voyage of the Dawn Treader
The Horse and its Boyd

Here are mine:

The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe
Prince Caspian
The Horse and its Boy
The Last Battle
The Magicians Nephew
THe Silver Chair
The Voyage of the Dawn Treader

Tough call for me, since I love them all. However, if I had to rank them, it would look like this:

The Silver Chair
The Horse and His Boy
Voyage of the Dawn Treader
The Last Battle
The Magician's Nephew
The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe
Prince Caspian

But understand that the "spread" is very small. If I had to rank them on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the Perfect Book, Silver Chair might get a 9.3 and Caspian no less than an 8.7.

The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe
The Magicians Nephew
Prince Caspian
The Voyage of the Dawn Treader
The Horse and its Boy
THe Silver Chair
The Last Battle

Here's mine:

The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe
The Magician's Nephew
The Horse and His Boy
Voyage of the Dawn Treader
Prince Caspian
The Silver Chair
The Last Battle

They're all excellent books though so it's not like I dislike The Last Battle. They are probably all on a 9-10 scale for me.

There was a thread like this eons ago, but it's probably now in the depths of the archives - about time for a new one!! :D

1. Magician's Nephew
2. Horse and His Boy
3. Silver Chair
4. Voyage of the Dawn Treader
5. Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe
6. Last Battle
7. Prince Caspian

In that the first 4 are all very close, then 5 and 6 are a bit lower down with PC being pretty low as it annoys me a bit...

1. Horse & His Boy!!:D
2. Dawn Treader
3. Caspian
4. Silver Chair
5. Magicians Nephew
6. LWW
7. Last Battle. Im glad to see Im not the only one whose this is one of thier least favorites.

Here's mine:

1. Voyage of the Dawn Treader
2. The Silver Chair
3. The Magician's Nephew
4. The Horse and His Boy
5. The Last Battle
6. The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe
7. Prince Caspian

Okay, I added up all the ranks from the posts you made by giving your number 1 book 7 points, your number 2 book 6 points all the way up to your number 7 book which got 1 point. I might attempt a more accurate method later, though.

The number to the right is how many points the book got.

  1. The Horse and its Boyd 44
  2. The Magician's Nephew 43
  3. The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe 42
  4. Voyage of the Dawn Treader 36
  5. Prince Caspian 33
  6. The Silver Chair 32
  7. The Last Battle 22

Like others, the difference between first and last place for me is very small.

1 VotDT
2 TSC
3 LWW
4 MN
5 TLB
6 H&HB
7 PC

Note: 4-6 are very hard to place for me. This represents how I feel today. Future fave lists by me may change.

1. MN
2. H&HB
3. LWW
4. PC
5. VotDT
6. SC
7. LB

I actually really didn't like the Last Battle. It confused me and I didn't really get a satisfied feeling like I did when other series like Harry Potter or A Series of Unfortunate Events ended.

1. The Silver Chair
2. The Magician's Nephew
3. The Horse and His Boy
4. The Last Battle
5. Voyage of the Dawn Treader
6. Prince Caspian
7. The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe

I really liked them all, but I think part of me choosing LWW is that it's already been done. I loved all of the books, though.

Here is an updated one; however, I forgot to add in the most recent post so I'll edit this post to include it later. Anyway, so far, the list has stayed relatively the same except The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe has passed The Magician's Nephew, but the top 3 are still close; they're difference is only one point. The Last Battle is really lagging behind. I didn't really think it was that unappealing.

1. The Horse and its Boyd (66 points)
2. The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe (65 points)
3. The Magician's Nephew (64 points)
4. Voyage of the Dawn Treader (58 points)
5. Prince Caspian (51 points)
6. The Silver Chair (50 points)
7. The Last Battle (38 points)

"The Mysterious Valley", beyond a doubt. Too bad it was never published and the original hand-typed manuscript, signed by C. S. Lewis, is sitting here in my personal library.

Here is the first paragraph. Classic C. S. Lewis all the way....

C.S. Lewis said:
Once upon a time there was a mysterious valley. It was very deep and scary and nobody liked to go there except monsters and other bad stuff, because they all had this agreement that bad folks only hurt good folks, not each other. One day this guy came along and his name was Billy and he was 14 years old. He was a Telmarine but his parents were mean to him and didn't understand him and stuff, so he was, like, out of there. But this dude got too close to the edge and he fell in the mysterious valley. Yeah, all the way down to the bottom where the monsters lived along with all the other bad stuff.

Want me to post the rest of it? Huh?
