I've got to say Peter's attitude (like most of everyone else). I liked him better as the caring brother, rather than the i-think-i-know-it-all boy.

I agree. Peter is being contemptuously tossed aside the way so many Hollywood-lice toss away an old girlfriend or boyfriend, with Caspian as the new fling--who will also be cast aside in time.

For me primarily it was the lack of screen time for Aslan. The next thing would be the changes to Peter's character. I definitely wouldn't have made him that cocky.

I had not seen it that harsh but come to think of it... Hollywood is always looking fot that next big star that will bring in the big $$$.

Missing Aslan's restorative run through Beruna toward the end was pretty heartbreaking. Aslan's time was way too short in the film and I'd have greatly preferred it stay closer to the book. Peter's character change was the other problematic part. I'd have to say it's a toss up between those things for the worst change.

I really liked it all actually. I don't see the problem with the kiss. Honestly, I was waiting for it most of the movie.

I actually disliked the kiss. It wasn't the thought of a kiss that I didn't like, it was the fact that it was so akward...it felt forced and fake. I'm not too big a fan of Anna Poppelwell's acting. :(

It might be... Hmm... Oddly enough, there is a toy stuffed badger sitting right next to me...... Anyway... I wouldn't fault her acting too badly. Have you seen Zooey Deschanel?

I HATED the romance scene. Why did they have to add it?

Because they think that every teen girl is going to go all gaga with Ben Barnes. But that is not the case because I know many young members of this forum who are also disappointed in that.
And because Hollywood likes to turn every good story into a soap opera.

Everybody's complaining about Peter's character. I think it just showed that he was a King and high and mighty over Narnia for a long period of time, then having to go back into being a kid in england. It's a big change of being well respected man into being a not so respected teenager. He was just showing that he was superior over beings for a long time and you would expect him being a little hard headed because he told people what to do, not them telling him what to do.
I also think the bad boy type was kind of hott showing that he's not a little kid anymore!! But he also had to deal with Prince Caspian being in the picture and having to deal with someone else giving orders. I really liked his character in the movie!!

If you are ok with that change, then that's your right. But many other posts in other threads have already discussed why that is not ok and totally contrary to the spirit of the book. If Peter can go back to being a spoiled teen, then he lost his right to being called "magnificent." When he was king of Narnia, it is understood that he led by example, not by "odering people about."
Also, being a king of Narnia was a gift given to him, not because he earned it. Remember that he was called king even before he fought any battles, so for him to feel "entitled" like they made it in PC is completely wrong.

Well, my absolutely first negative reaction to the movie was about Peter -when you see him fighting at the train station. I was like, Peter, God No, what are you doing??

But I loved that the conflict was based on his feeling out of place in a kid's body after 15 or so years as an adult. I always wanted more of a reaction to be explored of this strange transition. At the end of LWW, I even missed BBC's small Peter gesture where he feels for his missing beard. Little things like that which remind you that these characters have feelings and psyches and don't just change the course of events but are changed by the course of events.

Anyway, that's just me, but my point is that I made my peace with movie Pete pretty quickly leaving me with.... -..... oh yeah! CASPIAN *phew*

I don't hate the guy but there are a lot of things about him which totally underwhelm me. In the book, he was a fairly decent lad. In the movie, he's kind of a drama king. Ok, Peter's 'worse' but I thought Will stole the show from Ben with his acting and that kind of sums up the problem.

I'm very confused about what age Caspian is supposed to be. I don't mind him being around Peter's age --since that's how he's described, vaguely enough, in the book. But in the movie, he often acted younger and then suddenly older. The inconsistency of his character confused me entirely.
