The Dawn Treader Nears Completion – More Pictures

We have more pictures of the Dawn Treader as it is inching ever closer to completion. Not only did they build what I thought to be the cabin to the ship, but on top of that, they build a third level. This ship is looking absolutely beautiful, and it’ll be really great to see it in action on the big screen. They seem to have moved it onto a pier, which gives it a wider view of the sky behind it, should they keep it there for the filming. It doesn’t look like there’s much left to do before the ship is complete, as the cast of The Voyage of the Dawn Treader is working toward filming on it.

Photos are courtesy of CineFOOLS, who’s father actually took them. He said that the Dragon head will is actually the prow of the ship, as expected, and will be attached to the front.

  1. Wow! Looks cool! Although it seems as if it’s never going in the water? Is that a thingy like a motion simulator underneath it to represent ocean?

    • YEs, actually the gimble would be used to help simulate being on the ocean, typically in interior shots like in Caspian’s cabin.

  2. cool! is Peter and Susan going to be in this one? i don’t think it would work if they were anyway. i can’t wait to see what eustace looks like!
