Guess where I’m going to be next week? You won’t have to wait too long, as there will be video blogs and photos coming as soon as I can get started. These are the first photos of the Matthew, outfitted to look like The Dawn Treader.
The ship is actually the Matthew of Bristol, but has been transformed into the Dawn Treader with a majestic dragon’s head and tail to promote the movie which opens in cinemas in 2D and 3D on the 10th December 2010.
A visitor to the town told Ilfracombe People “I love the Narnia stories and when I saw the boat in Ilfracombe Harbour I was really impressed and excited. It was such a lovely surprise and has really made my day-I felt like I’d been transported into the novel!”
The crew are on their way to the National Maritime Museum in Falmouth for a Narnia weekend which starts on the 28th August next week.
Prepare for coverage starting next Monday / Tuesday, and lasting for about a week. This is going to be fun!
LUCKY!!!
Flying all the way to England? Coverage lasting for a week? Something tells me you are not just attending the Narnia Weeekend event…. 😉
We aren’t actually attending the Narnia Weekend event at all. 😀 We’ve got our wedding this weekend as well.
GOOD LUCK!!!
Congrats!
Blessings to you both for the wedding xx
Hope they can get this ship up the Thames for the London Premier!
Wouldn’t that be cool!
it would be so cool! if only i had a passport.

God bless your wedding, Paul… and your marriage. We’ll be looking forward to hearing from you over the next week!
I live in Bristol, and I’ve seen the Matthew.
