Here’s the latest news regarding the cover art and content of the soundtrack for The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. The listing over on Amazon.com has been updated. The cover art on the site is now the same as the art that you find on the UK version of Amazon, replacing the picture of Aslan with the white specs of snow or ocean. There’s also a description and a more correct track listing. (Spelling was originally off from the book.) The listing is still missing the Carrie Underwood track, which makes me wonder if they are going to be including it at all.
Here’s the description from Amazon:

I love all of these so far! I really hope that the Dawn Treader soundtrack will be one remembered as one of the best (if not the best!) soundtracks of all time (for that matter, the same goes for the movie itself, haha).
They better include Carrie’s song, but if not, I’ll be buying it anyway when it releases tomorrow.
Maybe the reason her song isn’t listed has to do something with other artists singing it for different countries.
that would make sense!
Looks really good. Can’t wait to hear it!
There sure are a lot of tracks!
Ahhhh, much better…..
This cover art actually has the ship! 😉
I’ve seen the movie and heard all the music which sounds great! David Arnold includes some of the old themes as well as adding some new ones of his own.
how did you see it!?
Probably at a screening. Can anyone tell me which old themes are included (besides the Heroic theme, I know that one’s there)?
Yeah, I saw the movie at a screening. Pretty much the only old recognizable that I noticed was the heroic theme, but I’m sure there are more.
Oops, I meant “recognizable theme”
I wonder why they changed the name of Mr. Cheep’s track.
Yes, that cover fits VDT better! 🙂 But, I will be disappointed if ‘There’s a Place for Us’ is not included.
Don’t some films have two soundtracks – one for the movie’s score and one with the actual vocal songs? Maybe this one is just the score? It would be strange not to include the main track on the soundtrack.
By the way, “There’s A Place For Us” is now up on itunes! It’s amazing!!
Am I the only one that feels this cover is awful? It looks entirely too cartoonish. Wish they had stuck with the original, despite the lack of the Dawn Treader being on it.
It’s just you…
Well congratulations, then, for liking this uninspired attempt to commercialize the album.
Can’t wait to hear it and see it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It’s better. It matches the other soundtracks.
