Preview of Carrie Underwood’s Dawn Treader Song/Video

Here’s a preview of the Carrie Underwood song There’s a Place for Us, which she co-wrote for the film. It sounds like it’ll be more of a pop song, like the other versions that we’ve heard recently as performed by other artists.

Pre-Order the Soundtrack Today! And here’s where you can find Carrie Underwood on iTunes. Keep an eye out for her song on November 16!

  1. The bits where Lucy hugs Aslan and Ed hugs Caspian brought me to tears, so I am pretty sure I am going to be bawling my head off when I see the movie

  2. Cool new scenes. Terrible song. Pop music doesn’t fit with Narnia. Neither does “believe in yourself” music.

    • Think what you may, but there are many who believe it’s perfect for Narnia. The lyrics are magic and the song itself is inpiring, just like the series. And also, having a popular artist record a song for the movie is a great promotional tactic.

  3. When I saw the Country Awards. During the commercial and I saw this I was practically screaming, jumping up and down, and biting my finger from making a racket. “Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!”
Awesome! Country Music, European Actors and Actresses, and USA apart of this. The new century is coming around really fast! It’s conna’ be awesome!

  4. thats the whole point of the series no? i mean when you break down the series thats the essential basis you are left with imo.

and pop music does not fit? regina spektor is pop, so was the switchfoot song. they feature the same basic premise. but this sounds more fitting with the movie, more majestic.

    • Believe in what you can do with the help of ASLAN. And I can’t see anything, maybe cause I’m on an IPhone? I can usually view video just fine though. LONG LIVE ASLAN!

      • “I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh. For I have the desire to do what is right, but not the ability to carry it out. …Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?

Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord!”

        Romans 7:18, 24-25a

        • And btw I can’t tell you how I liked the song because the little video thing says that it’s no longer available. Another spoiler crackdown! 🙂

I’m really excited to hear it with the movie, though. “Ever, ever, after” that Carrie did at the end of Enchanted is one of my favorite songs, even though I don’t listen to her normally.

  5. Can’t wait to hear the intire song. I love the bits I heard of it, and the new shots look good as well. Can it December 9th please?

  6. Tobias, have a read of the full lyrics then we can discuss if the song is appropriate.

The whole “pop doesn’t fit Narnia” argument is getting tired and rundown. Who is anyone to say what type of genre of music is appropriate for any movie.

This is a lovely song. The way they’ve weaved it with scenes from the movie makes it even exciting and emotional. I love it. I agree with Anna. It’s definitely majestic.

  7. WOWWWWW……….I’m almost crying with joy..I’m already sure I’ll cry buckets in the ending and maybe in the beginning too because of happinesss when the movie begins. The song fits welll………
    28 DAYS.SAIL ON VDT

  8. *gasp* I’m going to be crying in the movie! I know it! I know it! Not because of te retarded song… but Wow. It’s going to be SO awesome. LOVED Lucy hugging Aslan like tat! And LOVED Lilliandil lighting up Aslan’s Table and… Ed hugging Caspian goodbye was good! 😀 LOOOOOVVE the new footage! 😀

  9. Sounds good to me. I know I will cry at the movie and I’m a manly man. But that’s okay. Anyway I like what I heard and look forward to hearing the whole song.

  10. I love the short clip with Ed hugging Caspian- the look on Edmund’s face was so sweet, and genuine- which makes me exited for the acting in the movie!! Super exited to see this!

  11. I like the song and I don’t like the song. I just find it a little tacky in some places. But I don’t think anyone can really outdo The Call by Regina S. That song fitted the film perfectly because the music just did not seem out of place. This song is fitting for credits only and not to be inserted during the film sequences. My opinion 🙂

    • the call is a very good song… and it is suited only for prince caspian..the subtitle of it is “return to narnia”
and it only played when the kings an queens of old leave narnia again.. because in the novel susan and peter will never come back to narnia again..
this is the new installment of the narnia series.. and it is just right to change the ost of the movie…

  12. i really it..
i am a great fan of narnia.. i cant wait to see the film..
    i love carrie…

  13. ahhh so awesome!!!! i told myself i wasn’t going to listen to it till i saw the movie, but i couldn’t help it! and i loved some of the new shots!!!! the ones where lucy hugs aslan, and edmund caspian. I CAN’T WAIT 26 MORE DAYS!!!!!!!!!!
