Interviews, reviews, soundtrack, Twitter, oh my! Round 2

And here’s four more reviews!

Cutprintreview.com recently reviewed the movie, and they gave it 3.5 out of 5 stars (the user rating on the page, however, is 4.9). Here’s an excerpt  of what they have to say (and it’s all positive!): “The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, the latest entry in the fantasy blockbuster series The Chronicles of Narnia adapted from the novels by C.S. Lewis, posesses all the elements of a classic fantasy: …  The film is brimming with so many fantastical elements, it risks overwhelming the story and reducing it to a special effect extravaganza. Fortunately, director Michael Apted balances the sweeping fantasy with solid storytelling, making The Voyage of the Dawn Treader a simple but entirely enjoyable family-friendly adventure.” You can read the whole article HERE.

Manila Bulletin Publishing Corp. has reviewed the movie, and they called it a “terrific treat.”  Here’s some excerpts: “And for the third time, his masterpiece is brought to life in the spellbinding adaptation of “The Voyage of The Dawn Treader” on the big screen.” … “Lewis’ well-imagined and ambitious world of Narnia translates almost perfectly onto the screen, so even without the additional element of 3D, the visual is already gorgeous in itself.” … “After almost two solid hours of watching, one would tend to return to this world wishing that house paintings are portals to another world. To Narnia, perhaps?” You can read the excellent article in its entirety HERE. Thanks to @benbarnesofficial on Twitter for the heads up!

The Himalayan also reviewed the movie, and they liked it. Here’s some excerpts: “Fantasy and 3D is an intoxicating combination. The third instalment of the Narnia series in its 3D avatar does not go over the top with its third dimensional effects, but the subtlety of it all is worth the watch for all Narnia fans.” … “But the new member of the movie, Will Poulter as Scrubb, has done a brilliant job of portraying his character of a nerd.” … “This edition of Narnia being in 3D, expectations are high. If you are expecting another Avatar, then you should know that it isn’t. The 3D effect is subtle — in the shape of the faces whne one notices that the images are not flat but has a roundness to it, while the best is the water splashes. You feel you will get wet if you don’t duck or do something. The other special effects are on par with the previous movies of the series.” You can read the entire article HERE.  Thanks again to @benbarnesofficial on Twitter for the heads up!

Channel News Asia reviewed the film and called it “an adventure not to be missed.” Here’s some excerpts from their article: “Narnia series has never failed to produce amazing special effects and CGI that looks very believable, and for this third installment, it has definitely kept up with its good work – from ocean waves, to the breathtaking backdrops and life-like characters like Aslan the Lion, (voiced by Liam Neeson) and Reepicheep.” … “Like the characters they play, the actors have definitely grown both on screen and into their characters, with Georgie Henley and Skandar Keynes turning in good performances in this installment.” … “The addition of newcomer to the franchise Will Poulter, is a great touch with his comic turns as he delivered snappy lines and showed annoying disbelief at the fairytale world. He was so convincing and amusing at the same time, that he became the highlight of movie for me.” You can read the whole article HERE. 3 out of 5 stars.
