A Royally Mixed Future

Clarissa pecked Peter on the cheek. "Don't worry, you've been a little out of it recently... just relax," she said, smiling at him. "Have some cake," she offered to the two men, winking at Peter. She hoped that his siblings would be able to help calm him down an then the whole process would go easier.

After Peter ate the cake he felt much better. He never could feel anxious on full stomach. Somehow he knew that Clarissa knew that. And that was another reason why he loved her.

"Just going through flowers, different bridesmaid dress designs, accessories, where to have the reception, among other things," Clarissa said with a sigh. She noticed how PEter looked more relaxed and breathed a sigh of relief, glad that the cake had helped. "Oh! I left some of the options upstairs... let me go get them," she said, placing the cake tray on the table. She turned and quickly ran up the stairs, running through her mind of what else she might need while she was up here.

Reepicheep felt like he was walking along a dark tunnel, and it certainly looked like one. However, no fear clouded his heart, and he walked bravely on. Suddenly, he stumbled forward and rolled. Then, there was something soft beneath his feet and he hit something with his tail. Instantly, his sword was out, ready to strike any foe. However, it was just a coat hanger... that was now beginning to teeter. Before he could stop it, the coat hanger crashed to the floor, causing Reepicheep to wince.

Clarissa stopped in her tracks and looked behind her. She was sure that she hadn't knocked into anything, but her mind had been elsewhere. She retraced her steps and was soon at the door to the library. It was slightly ajar, and she stepped in. The evening sun illuminated the room enough to show a very large rodent in the middle of the room, staring down at a fallen coat hanger. She gaped down at the mouse, which was quite large and standing on its hind feet. She back up slowly, not sure how to react. "
"PETER!" she called, quickly slipping out of the door and closing it behind her.

Peter ran to Clarissa. She had had a terrible scream. Fear rushed through him like a lighting rod. Lucy was close behind them. When they found Clarissa they saw the last thing they would expect to see...at least in our world.

Clarissa turned as Peter came up the stairs. "Peter, you know how I am with animals... I love them to death. But there is the largest rodent I have ever seen in there," Clarissa said, pointing to the door. She watched as he went to the door and went inside, and then seemed to freeze. "Peter, what is it?" she asked, now concerned.

Reepicheep was quite confused to hear a woman calling out the High King's name... and with no reverence or title! He was quite perturbed. Suddenly, the door opened to reveal a much older man and two women standing behind him. However, both the appearance and the smell of the man were the same as the young man he had met before. "An honor to see you again, you Majesty," Reepicheep said to Peter with a flourishing bow. "And, my lady, you look radiant as usual," he said, bowing once again to Lucy.

"Reepicheep!" LUcy squealed with joy, she had that impulse to scoop him up in her arms, but knew that would humiliate them, so she came down to his level and gave him a friendly side hug.

"Reepicheep," Peter said, almost gasping, "How did you get to our world?"

Edmund also ran to see what the commotion was about and when he saw what it was, his eyes grew really wide with surprise.

"Well, that's the last thing I expected to see," he said as he knelt towards the mouse.

Clarissa stared at the large mouse in shock. Not only did he talk, but he knew Peter, Lucy, and Edmund. She was barely able to grasp this concept, but she was trying. She took deep breaths and watched the scene before her.

Reepicheep embraced the young queen in return. "It is good to see you as well, my queen." He had missed the four of them immensly. He bowed once again as Edmund entered the room, then turned to King Peter. "I have been sent here by the Great Aslan to bring you once again into Narnia," Reepicheep told them, his tone serious.

"What is going on?" she asked the four, looking at each face in turn, including the mouse. However, the rest of her anxiety melted away when she heard the name of Aslan.

"But..." Peter was a bit confused, "me and Su aren't allowed back into Narnia. Aslan said so."

"It's ok Clarissa," Lucy told her, "He's a friend of ours, from another world."

Reepicheep shook his head. "I know not what Aslan told you before, but he has now asked that you all come to the aid of Narnia once again," he told them. "I know not if he meant that these others come as well..." he said, peering up at Clarissa curiously.

Clarissa looked over at them in surprise. "Well Peter, you failed to mention this other world in our years of dating," she joked, not sure how else to react. She looked down at the mouse and sighed, truly not sure how to react. "Well, a friend of yours is a friend of mine," she said with a smile. "Welcome to our home, I'm Clarissa," she said, extending her hand to the mouse.

"Well Reepicheep this is my fiance` Clarissa, and the others," he saw that Nick, Rebecca and Susan's husband (forgot his name already!) followed them into the room ,"and as for the others, if they wish to come they willbe my personal guests."

'Other world?' she said, still looking a little confused.

ooc: I'm switching over to Susan's daughter now.
Sarah Beth came in the library after hearing all the noise. She couldn't believe what she saw. 'A mouse!' she yelled. 'And it talked!!'

"Yep," Lucy replied.

When Sarah Beth came in and screamed Lucy went over to her and held her hand.
"It's ok," she said, "he's a friend."
