A Thread For LOTR Collectors

That is true, Lewis never went into detail about things as much as Tolkien did but Lewis had several different amazing book series in addition to Narnia where (though I'm not the expert) Tolkien didn't have so many

Great point.. But comparing LOTR and Narnia it is obvious Tolkien invested more time.. 12 years exactly. Plus the years he worked on The Hobbit and The Silmarillion. :)

Which had to be a long time, the Silmarillion especially ;)

And kind of trying to get back on topic, I really need to find myself a poster with Faramir since I'll be moving rooms soon and I'll have a chance to change posters ;)

I could look for one for you if you'd like?

I've found additional memorbilla I want:

The Evenstar Pendant (Pic 1)

The Lord of the Rings Charm bracelet (Pic 2)

And Arwen's Brooch. (pic 3)

I also woudn't mind an regular Elven brooch as well. :D

I'm pretty sure you have before, whenever I do actually find one I'm buying it right then and there :D

I already have the Evenstar pendant, now I should get the earrings to match ;)

My sister has it as well and she might also have the charm bracelet and an elven brooch :D I just have Gandalf's brooch

edit: I'm getting off now, hopefully I'll be back on at the same time as you sometime and we can continue our intellectual discussions ;) Good night

I was discussing with Twilightdryadhobbit once whether I would want to get one of the rings from the Lord of the Rings for an engagement ring, I think I'd consider it if it was Aragorn's ring (the name slipped my mind for a moment) or Nenya. However getting the One Ring as an engagement ring might have some unwanted side effects like over-possessiveness.... ;)

Hahaha The Ring of Brahir is beautiful and so is Nenya.. I would not want to own the One Ring in any form.. because I believe it to be cursed. :D

I have one from a bookmark and one from a board game (which is bigger and more accurate ;)) and they each have their separate chains, I will be sure to wear at least one on Sept. 22 ;)

I happen to have one from board game too.. and when I hold it I can't help but feel.. empowered and possesive. :D

What's happening on September 27th?

I get that feeling as well ;)

September 22nd is Bilbo and Frodo's birthday. Although we usually have a large party to honor it (I've posted pictures of the cakes we've made :D) it is in the week leading up to Machia and Liz's wedding so there won't really be time for that ;)

That would be awesome, where is it? (Not that I'll be doing anything the week before or after the wedding... ;) :p)

I'll check.. I think It's in San Fransico. However if It's tour it will move likely all over the states. :)

I have added The Ring of Brahir to my list of memorbilla I want. :D

Yes, San Francisco is a liiittle far away... ;)

I went and got my ring of power, I do feel this slight obsession for it contrary to my avatar.... jk :D

I'm getting off again now to go shopping, I might be back on later

Write a list here! That way you have to check this thread everytime you log on. :D

I still need to get an Evenstar Necklace and The Complete Recordings (Which I might be getting for my B-day as well.) :)

I will already write the boxsets down:
Coronation set
Black gates of Mordor set (include Mouth of Sauron and Steed)
Helms Deep set (Includes Haldir)
There and back again set (includes the four hobbits and Bilbo when they go to the Grey Havens)
Lothlorien set (Includes Celeborn and Haldir)

I'm going to write everything down but it's a huge list
