Chapter 1-Into Narnia
I was so jealous when I heard that my brother had been to Narnia, even if it was only for a short time. But it all began that day. That day, my life changed for the better. I had been watching none other than the movie, Prince Caspian, when my mom called me down to wash the dishes. I had seen the movie millions of times, but I could not keep myself from watching it over and over again. Was it because the storyline was so amazing, the characters so well developed, or the fact that I thought that Peter was the cutest guy ever, even if he was fictional, well, the actor was not, but what were my chances of meeting him? I had just finished and was about to head upstairs to finish the movie when my brother pulled me aside and said, “Can I talk to you for a second?” I shrugged my shoulders and agreed. “You are going to be really jealous, but I’ve been to Narnia.” I stared at him in shock. I thought at first that he may have been pulling my leg, but I then realized that he was perfectly serious. “But how? When? Tell me everything!” I said, pulling him into the guest room, where I had been watching the movie.
Then he explained everything. In my own words, he got in, not for the full 15 years that the Pevensie’s reigned, yet, but the first time that Edmund got in. I was still jealous. He told me that he had been partially enchanted by the White Witch’s magic, and felt awful for it.
“Sam,” I said, “everything will be fine. Just promise me that the next time you get there, I will be with you as well.” I smiled. “I promise, Amy.” Was his reply as he settled in to watch the movie with me.

He kept his word. The next time I, Amy Carptenter, a girl of 15 years of age living in the 21st century, and my brother Sam, got into Narnia. It happened at our house. We were all really bored, and so I suggested that we go outside. It was a week before Christmas, and snow was all around. I was wearing a blue jacket that complimented my black hair, and green boots to compliment my green eyes. I ran out into the woods behind our house, and was not surprised to find woods, with snow. But what I did not expect was a lamppost, and instead of the usual Pine trees, I was surrounded be beautiful fir trees. “This,” Sam said, “is Narnia.” I laughed, thrilled to be in the place I had longed to go to since I was nine. As my back was turned, Sam threw a snowball that landed right in between my shoulders. I turned around, holding a snowball of my own, and threw it right at his face. Had he not ducked, it would have hit him square in the nose, but he ducked. I heard a loud “OOF!” and a thud. I gasped. It must be the Pevensie’s!! They look a lot like the Pevensie’s in the movies, except Peter’s eyes were green. I noticed that right away, because he had been the one I had hit, so naturally, he looked in my general direction. I placed my hand over my mouth, hiding a gasp. I had just hit the future king of Narnia, square in the nose!!! I could not help but do a fist pump of victory as I realized that my aim was finally improving. But then I remembered what had happened, and while Sam collapsed with laughter, I slowly walked over to where Peter was standing himself up. “Sorry.” I said gingerly.
“You have good aim.” He responded quietly, his nose red from where my snowball had hit only moments before.
“Not really, I just got lucky. Of course luck does not really exist but..” I said the last part more to myself than anyone else.
