After Return of the King

"I'm not sure." Bryan said quietly.

"There is." Astia said appearing in front of them out of no where.

"What?" Bryan asked.

"Tonight the elven army shall surround them. They'll be successful but they'll need an expert leader." Astia said.

Kasey's eyes looked down then toward Frodo.

Frodo-

Frodo looked up at Astia, clearly thinking the matter over,

"But.. are you sure it will work? Her army is much larger than was estimated. How can you be sure we have the strengh to overpower her?"

"I have the power to see the future young hobbit. Lord Legolas, Lady Katie, Lord Aragorn's sons and daughters, daughter-in-law, and two by the name of Golgorn and Throndella are going to help. Lord Legolas is bringing a Mirkwood army with him. Lady Katie is bringing the elves of Trassidor. (I made that up.) Together we'll over power them." Astia answered.

Kasey looked up with hope.

"My sister will survive but she'll have an injury caused by Verendile." Astia added.

(Hey guys! I just thought I'd let you know that I'm going to be gone Sunday. So I won't be able to roleplay till Monday and I have alot of homework to finish next week too. :( I hope that's alright. I've really been getting into this. He He. :D)

Frodo-

Frodo's eyes now also filled with newly found hope,

"This is wonderful news! Oh what joy it will be to see his Lord Legolas again."

Now for the first in a very long time, Frodo smiled. But his gleeful face was soon put to rest as he heard the next remark about Takia and the injury she would recieve from Verendiel,

"Do you know when this injury will occur, Lady Astia?"

Pippin-

Pippin gazed up into Mar's concerned eyes,

"When do you believe he shall awake?"

Rosie-

Her once shining golden curls now in a tangled mess, Rosie quickly ran over with her beloved Sam to see the outcome of this terrible war. Her long skirts swaying around her, she suddently stopped in her tracks when she spotted Merry. Motioning to Sam to look upon his friend who lay crumpled up in the grass, she asked,

"What happened? Is Meriadoc alright?"

"I hope we can save her." Bryan said looking down at his hands.

Arla heard the conversation and walked over to him. She put her arm around him.

Sam looked down at Merry then over to Frodo.

Kasey hugged Frodo tightly.

Frodo-

Frodo smiled softly, closing his eyes. Simply enjoying the moment. For every second he spent with Kasey was the best one of his life. Minutes passed of this, when finally Frodo took notice of Sam's presence,

"Sam!"

He motioned for his friend to come over,

"I'm so glad to see you."
 
Frodosgurl said:
"Yes, we are fine." Sam answered.

"Excuse me." Bryan said walking off.


Takia-

Takia watched ger friends leave then look up at Verendile.

Verendil-

Gazing at Takia for a long while as if sizing her up, Verendil spoke,

"Do you honestly think by sacraficing yourself that I will not capture the others? It's only a matter of time before all of Middle Earth is bowing to my every wishes."

Continuing to leave her eyes upon her, as the Orcs tightly bound Takia's hands, Verendil spoke up once again,

"You will not survive the darkness that lies ahead."

Frodo-

Leaving a hand upon Sam's shoulder, Frodo answered,

"I'm glad. I was afraid I would never see you again, my dear friend."
 
"I made my choice. You'll never survive the coming years. You'll be punished for the trouble you've caused. You all will. Do what you wish to me but you'll never harm my friends." Takia said boldly.

"Me too Mister Frodo." Sam said.
 
Gentle Voice said:

Merry-

Almost as soon as Mar's gentle words rolled from her tongue, Merry's eyes fluttered open. He could see light. The battle within his mind had been won and now the shadow held little sway over him. But there was no doubt something had changed there. When looking up, the very first face he laid eyes upon was his beloved Pippin,

"Pip... is that you?"

His eyes still strained bitterly to focus on the images and light. For so long he had lived within Verendil's prison of darkness. He had almost forgot what the outside world looked like.

Frodo-

Suddenly Frodo went silent, the familiar sound of Merry's voice had caught his attention. Turning to look down at Merry, Frodo came closer to him. Sam followed at Frodo's heels. Quietly kneeled next to Merry, Frodo smiled to see his friend finally regaining consiousness.

Kasey rose from the groundand followed them. Bryan, Arla, and Astia came over too.

Merry-

Merry used much of his strengh just bending his lips into a small smile, as the Elf warmly embraced him. Her crystal tears fell softly upon his cheek. Straining to remember all that had happened within the last few minutes of his imprisonment, Merry's forehead creased with lines,

"What happened to Verendiel? Was she destroyed? Is everyone safe?"

He fell back into Mar's arms, weary from simply speaking.

Pippin-

Wiping away a few stray tears from his own face, Pippin took Merry's cold hand in his. Quickly answering Merry's first question, Pippin replied,

"Yes, it's me Merry. I'm here."

A few moments passed, and soon friends began to gather nearer and closer together to gaze upon the long imprisoned hobbit.

Frodo-

Frodo was gladened to see Merry, finally regaining the ability to speak and see. And he too was quick to answer his questions,

"I'm afraid Verendiel still holds a cloud of shadow over the land, Merry. We failed to destroy her. For in attempting to complete this task your own life may of been taken. A brave Elf named Takia took your place."

All was silent a moment. Despair for the Elven Princess overtook the party.
 
Mar held him gentle in her arms still having treas falling like rain on her soft rosie cheeks.
" Someone want to say hello to you Merry,"She told him

Eastà ran up to him huging him.
" Daddy!,"She said.

Merry-

Merry chuckled a bit as Easta came pouncing into his arms,

"Oh my dear little Easta.. how I've missed you so."

Still slightly disoriented, Merry ran a hand through her shining locks of hair. How glad he was to be back with the ones he loved.
