After Return of the King

Merry-

Merry's eyes widened ever so slightly. He had been taken by complete surprise,

"Your brother? I suppose I must of missed a lot while I was absent."

Frodo-

Frodo sighed, watching Mar slowly storm off into the distance. Maybe he should of kept quiet. But he had to jump in the conversation, for Merry's sake. Watching Mar a few moments more, Frodo retreated to sitting back down in the soft grass next to Kasey. Once again slipping his hand in hers.

Eastà look up at him.
" Did you two had a fight or something?,"She ask

Merry-

Feeling the warmth of Arla's breath growing closer, Merry eyed her a moment or two. Finally turning back to look down at Easta, Merry replied,

"Yes. I'm afraid so."

He kept his words brief and short, hoping that Easta would not become too concerned with this matter. The less she knew of this, the happier she would probably be.

Arla sat down on the grass.

Merry-

Merry gazed over at Arla, thanking her with his eyes. She had so easily gotten him out of a long explaination to little Easta and he truly did not want to trouble the young girl with such things. Merry now turned, smiling at Easta,

"Now onto lighter subjects, my dear girl. Your mother said you and her may come to live with me in Buckland. My home. It lies with in the realm of the Shire. I do you believe you would love it there, Easta. There are beautiful little rivers and lakes that I'm most certain you would enjoy to go boating on."

Frodo-

Frodo shook his head, beams of sunlight reflecting off his dark strands of hair,

"I do believe we should all just appreciate the fact that Merry is safe again. He needs rest and I do not think conflict is going to benefit anyone right now."

He looked down, the grass blew quietly in the breeze.

Merry-

Merry chuckled alittle, as Easta wrapped her arms tightly around him,

"Why of course, little Easta. There is always something to do out in Buckland and I'd be glad to show you all of it."
