"Look!" Jo pointed down into the quarry where the meteorite had landed and apeared to be glowing. The Master, who was quite small from a distance, was making his way towards it.

"Pleased to meet you, Miss Rose," Two said, taking her hand with a smile. "I may call you Rose, mightn't I? I'll have to have you meet Victoria..."

Three took a breath and glanced back at himself. "The Master. I might have guessed he'd be involved in this mess. Come on, Jo, I want to talk to him without all of me with me first." He took her hand and tried to casually amble back towards some of the sheltering rocks.

"Oh yes! It would get rather thick around here with only myself, no matter how many of me happened to be around." He turned to hail his companions. "Victoria! Oh, Victoria - come here, my dear. This is Rose... and... why that... what does he think he's doing?" He looked up at Ten and gave him a pat on the arm. "Our Third incarnation always thinks he can keep things to himself. You didn't inherit that, did you? Let's follow him."

With that he set out after Three, who had a good lead and was still hoping he wasn't being noticed. Victoria, who'd come when he'd called, stood and looked after him uncertainly then looked at Rose. "I'm sorry, he's like that sometimes. But I guess you probably know that? My name's Victoria Waterfield, and I originally came from a time I've been told is called the Victorian Era, though that's for the Queen of course, not me. When did you come from?"

"Um... London 2005, a long time after you guys," she said, "and i know exactly what you mean."

"After you," said ten looking at Rose and following him.

"Come on," she said to Victoria, "we better follow."

Jo hated to think of running into the Master on her own. Being hypnotised wasn't exactly the best expirience. Infact she hated to think of running into any non-human lifeforms without the Doctor.

---

"I'm Jamie." Jamie said, shaking Rose's hand.

"Goodness, do you really think we ought?" Victoria protested. "If all of us all go with our Doctors we'll look like a parade! Maybe us ladies should wait back here, where it's safe. Jamie is quite a good fighter, I'm sure he can protect the Doctor without our help." She looked around for Jo to get another girl's agreement but didn't see her anywhere.

Up ahead, Three and Jo carefully slid around a boulder, peering ahead.

"That's the Master, all right."

"And that's the meteorite. Come on, Jo. Let's try a little diplomacy with him and see if we can find out what he's up to."

Two tiptoed along, reaching the boulder right after they'd left it. He looked back, gesturing for the others to catch up.

Jamie hurried along soon caught up Jo and Three. "Victoria was wanting you girls to stay back. It might be dangerous."

"I'm staying with the Doctor." Jo said in a mater-of-fact way.

"Oh, Jo's all right. She's been taking lessons." He looked at Jamie again. "What are you doing here?" Three suddenly asked with annoyance. He looked back and saw a veritable crowd of people all sneaking along in a line after him like a row of ducks. Spy ducks. "Hmph. I never could leave well enough alone, could I? Well, so much for any element of surprise." He crossed his arms and waited for them to catch up.

"Hullo, and where are you off to without yourself?" Two asked cheerfully as he came up. "As if I didn't know. I say, you don't by any chance happen to know that chap in the black?"

"He's the Master." Jo shuttered a bit at the thought of running into him once again. She's had more than her share of expiriences with that paticular timelord.

Ian's eyes opened only a second after he back to his sences. He tried to sit up but fell back down feeling the pain on the back of his head. He was in the TARDIS but there wasn't anyone around exept for Susan who had fallen asleep in a chair. He lay there for a while and fianlly managed to stand and almost stumble out into the control room. He expected that the Doctor had left the TARDIS, and by the looks of it Barbara had gone with him.

Victoria waited by the row of silent TARDIS boxes, feeling quite alone. She couldn't believe both of those girls had followed the menfolk when they didn't even know what sort of danger there might be down there. After a moment, she popped back into their own TARDIS and carefully put her hair up in a bun with two long, sharp hatpins to hold it in place. Better armed than not.

-

"The Master?" Two said. "Most curious. He isn't that same one from back when I was in school, is he? Bit of a troublemaker, if I recall."

"Yes," Three said. "And he's been nothing but trouble here. He apparently wants that meteorite, and for me that's a good enough reason to keep him from having it." He turned to Ten and the straggling Five. "I'll do the talking for us."

"Oh you will, will you?" Two said. "I should think a vote is in order. Or maybe we should do as Jamie here suggests and just, what was the term again? Oh yes, 'dogpile' him."

Two peered at Ten. "I say, is there something wrong with your eyes? They look a bit on the dead side and you look confused. I've some eye-drops, but I'm afraid they're back in the TARDIS. Er, *my* TARDIS, I mean. That is, the one belonging to my own particular version of me."

Three tapped his foot impatiently. "At this rate, the Master is going to get that meteorite and be gone before we can catch him, and then who knows what will happen to all of us. I'm going." He headed for the nefarious Timelord who was already down inside the meteorite's crater.

ooc|| Taking Susan

bic|| Susan woke with a jolt. She hasn't intended to doze off, it just happened. "Ian?" She said, looking around. Ian wasn't where she had seen him before. Getting up and walked into the control room. The door was open and the room was empty. Making sure she had her TARDIS key she walked outside closing the door behind her.

Three had intended to head straight for his enemy, but as he came to the edge of the crater he saw *yet another* TARDIS and stopped so quickly Jo, who'd been running to keep up with his longer legs, nearly slammed right into the back of him.

"Oh no. Not another one."

"Well according to our most recent arrival there are at least ten of us," five pointed out.

*********

"I suppose we should go find out what it looks like from up there, right Doctor?" Barbara asked.

ooc: shouldn't one and Barbara be meeting up with the rest of the doctors about now?

ooc|| Not quite yet.

bic|| "Oh? Well it seams we shouldn't have to." He chuckled a bit to himself and began walking toward the crowd of people comming toward them.
