ooc|| What? No comment on Ian being up again? Well atleast it wasn't her fault he was out. Seams to happen quite a bit.

bic|| "There does seem to be a problem here." One said. "I was afraid this would happen."

"Doctor, what exactly is happening?" Ian asked.

"Hmm? Ah yes, it's very complicated." One said.

ooc: oops :D

ic:

"It does seem to be more complicated than usual," said Barbara "but if there's more of you than usual shouldn't you be able to solve it fairly quickly?" she noticed who was with the Doctor, "Ian! I'm glad to see you're back up. What happened to Susan?"

"Susan!" Ian remembered her at once. He had left her in the TARDIS and she no doubt would come looking for them.

"What? Where is she?" One asked.

"She was in the TARDIS asleep but I left her there." Ian said.

"Then she'll no doubt come looking for us." One replied.

Before Three could decide which clever, snide remark to return this threat with he was pushed to the side by a furious Scot.

"Ye'll do nae such thing!" Jamie cried, and grabbed at the Master's gun-hand with his left hand while bringing in his dirk with his right.

"Jamie!" Three said with alarm. He used to travel with him, he should have remembered the lad's impulsive protectiveness. As much as the Master caused more than his share of mischief, he really didn't want to see him go down with a dirk to his jugular, and besides, now the Master's gun-weilding hand was waving around putting all of them in danger.

Three did the only thing he could think of: he tackled him. Jamie nearly gave him a black eye as they wrestled to the ground in a flurry of tartan and velvet.

Two gave One a little bow. "Ah yes, complicated is a very good way to put it. We seem to have complicated ourselves a rather tangled mess, but that's nothing new, is it? If you remember, I am your second self, and this rather quiet fellow over here is our fifth. The thin one with the grooming challenges is the tenth, believe it or not. No one's shown up past him as of yet. Our third one has gone on to take a look at that meteorite - I'm assuming you know about the meteorite, of course? Of course."

He looked around at all the faces in various stages of bafflement and clapped his hands together. "Might I suggest we join him?"

The Master quickly grabbed the largest piece and escaped to elsewhere in the quarry. He would have to get the other parts later. Atleast the Doctor could do nothing without the piece he had, though it would be harder the find the other pieces which were small enough to be pocketed.

Jo hesitated to follow the Master and decided it would be better to stay with the Doctor. She hoped that for once he would accept help from UNIT. There seemed a need for the Brigadier.

"Ah. A very good idea. I think we need to find out what has caused this, and how we can stop it." One said.

"What about Susan?" Ian asked.

"Hmm? Oh yes, her. Go see if she's in the TARDIS. Barbara, you go with him." One waved his hand in the air, motioning for them to go look for her.

"Ow!" Jamie complained as he was pinned to the rocky ground. "Ye let him get awa'!" To be honest, he was more than a little surprised - his own version of the Doctor hadn't been nearly so deft in a fight.

"What?" Three looked up to see the Master scuttling away like a triumphant black beetle. He had taken the largest hunk of meteorite. Three released Jamie and gave him a hand up. "Sorry about that. He wasn't really going to shoot us, you know. The Master loves to threaten but I doubt he'd really harm Jo if he could avoid it." He considered their retreating enemy. "He just wanted that meteorite."

"An' no thanks to ye, now he has it!" Jamie accused, dusting himself off. He turned back to Jo. "I hope ye weren't hurt, miss?"

Jo smiled a bit despite the situation. "No. I'm alright. Doctor, do you think we should get the Brigadier?"

---

Susan hadn't expected the cliff to be so hard to climb up. She was about half way up when the rocks gave way benieth her feet. She screamed as she found herself hanging from the next ledge. She wasn't exactly strong enough to pull herself up and she didn't really think she was quite strong enough to hold on much longer. As she slipped she fell to the lower ledge, screaming. She landed without breaking any bones... atelast she hoped not. Managed to sit up she felt a pain in her ankle, she was sure it was twisted.

ooc|| Five is being very quiet. You'd think that he'd talk more. *hint hint*

ooc: He was allowing you guys to take charge, but he'll start talking a little more now :D

"Ah. A very good idea. I think we need to find out what has caused this, and how we can stop it." One said.

"What about Susan?" Ian asked.

"Hmm? Oh yes, her. Go see if she's in the TARDIS. Barbara, you go with him." One waved his hand in the air, motioning for them to go look for her.

ic:

"All right," Barbara turned back toward the TARDIS, "come on Ian."

"Now that we've all found ourselves, at least so I assume," Five started off toward where three had gone, "hopefully it will be easier to fix whatever the problem is here."

Three considered it. "The Brigadier was rather upset when it there were only two of me. I can't imagine what he might think of more. Still... you're right, Jo. He might at least be able to help us keep the Master from doing anything worse than throwing that rock at someone's head." He looked up as the other Doctors and companions came sliding down the crater's slope.

"Doctor!" cried Jamie, waving. This made several heads look up at him. "Oh, I mean, er, how shall we tell which one we're wantin'?"

"I suppose we could simply use the number of our regeneration," Three suggested logically. "For the time being. That would make your me, or that is the me you are wanting to hail, 'Two' I suppose."

"An' you would be Three, then?"

"Me? Don't be silly. I am the Doctor!"

"I'll go with her," Jamie volunteered. "The two lasses might need protectin'."

"Bessie is my car," Three clarified with a smile. "And there aren't many people I trust to drive her. You can go along, as long as it's understood Jo does the steering. Assuming I'm willing to let you go, of course, my other self, that is."

"Oh, ye mean Two! He's the one what tol' me to keep an eye on the lass, Miss Jo here," Jamie grinned. With a wave towards his own Doctor, he happily went off with Jo to find the yellow roadster.

"I say," Two asked as they came up to Three. "Looks like you let him get away, didn't you? I might have known you would."

Zoe looked down into the quarry and saw the many Doctors with their various companions. She noticed Jamie coming up to where they were with... a girl. She had blond hair and was dressed properly for the time piriod. "Jamie!" Zoe waved her arms trying to get his attention.

---

Jo looked up at the girl who was calling Jamie's name. Her sparkely silver clothes caught the sunlight and made her stand out in the brown quarry. "We're going up there anyway." Jo said.

---

"That sounded like Susan!" Ian said hurrying to where the scream had come from.

Victoria saw Zoe waving her arms and shouting. She hurried towards her, pulling out a hat-pin as she went just in case.

Jamie helped Jo up the rocky incline to where the scattering of TARDIS' were parked along with Bessie then allowed her to tow him along by his arm as they neared the top. The little lass was a right bonny one, he thought. He hardly noticed Zoe until they were nearly upon her.

"Oh, Zoe!" He said. "There you are! The Doctor's sent Miss Jo and I to fetch someone or somethin', I don' rightly know what, but we'll be back soon. He's down thataway." He vaguely waved back toward the quarry and followed Jo's lead toward the car.

Victoria watched as he and Jo walked past first Zoe and then herself. What was this? Jamie didn't even seem to see her! As much as it made her blush to think of it, she knew the young Scot was nearly always affected by her presence. Was he bewitched? Had the strange girl some sort of alien hold on him?

"Jamie!" she called running after them, hat-pin in hand, "Can't you hear me?"

--

Three glared at Two. "I was forced to let him escape because of your own foolish companion!"

Zoe was outraged with this remark. No infromation on what's going on, barely anything said to her at all infact. Just 'miss Jo and I have to get something'. No 'Zoe can you help me with this'. This Jo person seamed to have taken that job. Quickly she decided to follow them and see what they were doing, atleast she could then attempt to do something.

"Jamie isn't foolish," Two huffed. "As you should remember!"

Three looked slightly mollified. "Yes, as I *do* recall, he was quite foolish on a number of occasions. But -" he held up a hand to still further bluster from his shorter self. "Always with good reason. I was trying to spare the Master's life from his overeager help. It isn't worth murder, you know."

Two expressed something unprintable with his eyebrows. Turning to the others he asked, "Well, any ideas?"

--

Victoria ran, the small silver-clothed Zoe catching up to her as they pursued their friend. She was vague about Zoe as well, but at least she seemed to know Jamie, and in this case that made her an ally.

"Jamie!" she called again.

--

Jamie admired the yellow car. "So, this is Bessie! She's quite... yellow!" He kicked one of the tires, something he'd seen other people do when checking out cars though he had no idea why.

He opened the driver's side door and turned to hand Jo in. She was just as pretty from the front. Somewhere behind him he thought he heard Victoria shouting something.

Jo blushed a bit as Jamie helped her into Bessie. He was pretty nice and reminded her of the Doctor in a strange way.

---

Zoe came running up to where Jo and Jamie were getting into Bessie and jumped into the back seat, then helped Victoria in after her. She wouldn't be left out of this and certainly wouldn't let Jamie out of her site when he was with this other girl.

---

"Where is your young friend hmm?" One asked Three.

"Zoe! Victoria! What are ye doin'?!" Jamie demanded in confusion as the girls piled in without being asked.

"Jamie, you know us!" Victoria replied with relief. "We were afraid you'd been taken over or something!"

She tucked her hat-pin back into her hair and considered Jo carefully. "Which Doctor is yours? Jamie and I travel with the second one."

--

"Oh, she's off to let the Brigadier know what's up," Three said dismissively. "We were tracking this meteorite before it hit, though the result being several of myself is probably not going to please him."

"There's several chips here," Two was observing. "That Master-chap may have absconded with the big one but I expect it would be a good thing not to let any of it go to waste." He chose a largish chip from the debris and pocketed it then began handing out chips to the others.

Jo sighed, she saw no way of getting the two other girls out of Bessie. She started up then engine and drove out onto thew country road. "Don't tell the Doctor I did this." She said, grinning. She put Bessie at full speed with the super drive that the Doctor had added onto her. It wasn't long before they reached UNIT and came to a quick halt.

---

One took an even amount and left it up to the others to decide who got how many. "Whatever it is, it's drawing us here. And If I'm not mistaken there will be more of me showing up soon." One said.
