Victoria slowly unclenched her hands from where they'd nearly dug holes in the back of the seat and tried to catch her breath. The rocket-ride through the country and then the hair-raising dodge through London traffic at high speed had left her pale and giddy.

Jamie gazed at Jo with unbridled admiration. "Whooo! Now that was right clever steerin'! I don' think we clipped more than three of those little post-boxes off, and the way you went right aroun' that dog!" He pantomimed Jo's crazy whipping of the wheel. "No wonder he wanted you ta drive it! Do we have to stop now? Can I give it a go?"

Jo laughed. "Sorry." She said. She turned back to Victoria and Zoe. "Are you alright?"

Zoe was wide eyed and speechless. She'd have sworn they were going as fast as a small ship.

Jo climbed out of Bessie. "We need to get the Brigadeir."

Sergeant Benton looked up from his paperwork and smiled to see someone familiar. "Good morning, Miss Grant. Did you and the Doc find that meteor thing you went looking for? Oh," he added as more people filed in with her.

They were an odd assortment, one old-fashioned girl, another in a silver catsuit and a wind-blown Scot in a traditional kilt. They looked strangely familiar. Still, considering the Doctor might be involved they looked perfectly normal. None of them looked like they might sprout tentacles or anything, no one was obviously wounded and nothing was exploding anywhere nearby.

"I suppose you're wanting to see the Brigadier? He's just finished a meeting, so he's in his office. Just follow me."

Jo lead the parade into the Brigadier’s office hoping that have three other people with her didn't cause much commotion.

---

Zoe was curious who the Brigadier was. She hadn't ever met any Brigadiers in her brief time with UNIT. Victoria and Jamie looked equally as lost as she was.

Benton gave a knock and poked his head into the Brigadier's office. "Miss Grant to see you, sir, and some guests with her."

"Send her in," the Brigadier said. He barely looked up from his papers at first, but as the group filed in he blinked. "Good heavens."

They all recognized him as soon as they saw him. "Colonel!" Victoria and Jamie both said in unison.

"Brigadier now," he said, standing to greet them. "Young Jamie, I remember you! We dealt with those nasty Yeti together, and this young lady was there too, I beg your forgiveness but I've forgotten your name."

"Victoria Waterfield. And this is Zoe," she said.

"Ah, Zoe! No cybermen chasing you this time, I hope?" He smiled then suddenly went slightly wide-eyed. "Oh no. Does this mean the Doctor's gone and popped up again? I mean the other one?" He measured a distance from the floor that approximated Two's height.

"Well yes. We found the meteorite but the Master was there. There are also four other Doctors and one of them said he was the tenth." Jo replied.

Ten grabbed a few pieces.

"What are those?" Rose asked.

"I'm not quite sure..." Ten said. "Well. We could always go back to the TARDIS, my TARDIS that is concidering that there are four in the area not including the Masters', and find out."

"Sounds well enough." Rose replied.

The Brigadier froze, then very slowly sat down. "Did you say...tenth? Heavens preserve us, I thought three of him was bad enough."

"Not all ten are there," Victoria clarified. "There's only five."

"Not that five o' the Doctor isn't somethin' to worry aboot," Jamie noted quickly. "I expect he'll get himself into a fair heap o' trouble the first time we take our eyes off 'im."

"Yes," the Brigadier noted dryly. "I expect so. Well! All the more reason to keep our eyes upon him then." He stood, smacking his desk for emphasis. "Sergeant!"

"Sir?" Benton said, opening the door up so quickly it was obvious he'd been listening in on the other side.

"Transport! On the double! It seems we've a plethora of Doctors to deal with."

"Yes sir!" Benton said with a grin.

Zoe followed Jo and Jamie out of UNIT next to Victoria. Bessie sat waiting infront of UNIT. Atleast she was prepared for the speed of the automobile now.

---

Jo climbed into Bessie and got ready to drive. She would have to go slower this drive so that UNIT could keep up with her.

Jamie started to climb in the front again, but Victoria inserted herself between him and the door. She held out a hand. "Help me in?"

He grimaced and stepped back so he could hand her in, knowing full well she was capable of getting in all by herself and that she knew he had wanted the front seat. He stepped back only to have Zoe slip under his arm and into the remaining space in the front.

"Hey!"

"Yes?" the girls asked sweetly, all scrunched together in the seat while Jo looked amused.

Jamie gave them an annoyed look and climbed into the back seat alone.

A UNIT jeep followed them out.

Jo started up the engine once more, keeping the super drive off. The UNIT jeep followed as they went through the streets at the normal speed which seemed slow after the super drive. Jo noticed a few broken post boxes by the street.

Jamie crossed his arms and attempted to sulk in the back seat, but he couldn't do it. Victoria and Zoe kept whispering to one another and looking back at him and giggling. It was unbearable.

He distracted himself by dividing his attention between the jeep behind them and watching Jo's hair fluff in the wind. Come to think of it, Victoria's hair looked rather nice that way too. And Zoe's.

By the time the cars bumped their way along the rough road of the quarry he was feeling considerably more cheerful.

--

"There they are, sir! Just like she said." Benton pointed to the assorted TARDIS boxes scattered along the ridge. "Do you suppose there's only one Doc per box?"

He parked the jeep by Bessie, the Brigadier already getting out as he pulled the brake.

"Where is he?" the Brigadier called out to Jo.

"They're down in the quarry!" Jo replied. She looked down to see Ten and Rose making their way up to where the TARDISes were. Jo turned to Jamie. "Do you like her?" She asked, motioning to Bessie. Zoe was opening the bonnet and examining the engine.

"Oh, yes!" Jamie said with enthusiasm, though he didn't entirely mean the car. Victoria gave him a sharp look and came up to take him by the arm.

"Let's go find the Doctor. Our Doctor, that is," she said.

"But... I thought you wanted to stay here, because it's dangerous!"

"I've changed my mind. I think it might be more dangerous up here." She towed him away.

The Brigadier was already marching ahead of them. Benton shrugged and offered Jo and Zoe his arms. "Shall we?"

Jo smiled and giggled a bit. They made thier way down the quarry getting closer to the bottom. Ten strode up to them with Rose hurrying after.

"Brigadier! Haven't seen you since my seventh regeneration." Ten said enthusiasticly.

The Brigadier regarded the skinny man who was sticking out a hand. He briefly clasped it, looking into the Doctor's eyes curiously. They were brown this time.

"Good to see you again, Doctor, though I can't say I've had the pleasure of meeting you in this particular guise yet. You're the seventh one, you said? Demmed inconvenient having so many of you about, I'm sure. Is the Master here as well? And is there only one of him, I sincerely hope?"

--

Passing them by, Jamie followed Victoria on down the slope again. He looked back at where Benton was coming along with the others. Victoria pointed ahead. "Look, Jamie. There he is! Oh dear, and it looks like we're just in time!"

"What? Is he in danger?" They both broke into a trot, slithering down the dusty path. Two lay on the ground with the others gathered around him. "I knew I shouldn't have left him alone..."

"He's not alone!"

"He is if he doesn't have me," Jamie said stoutly.

--

"Oh. Not seventh, tenth. The seventh of me hasn't arrived yet and I'm not sure he will." Ten said. "Now me and Rose, Rose is traveling with me, are going to go and run some tests on these pieces of meteorite."

He lead Rose on. "I'm Rose Tyler." Rose said, shaking the Brigadier's hand.

"Rose!" Ten beckoned her to follow.

She hurried to catch up and they went along to do some kind of testings.

---

"Stop being so foolish and stand up!" One said.

Ian managed to get Susan down from the ledge she was on and help her to the TARDIS. Once inside he instucted her on how to take care of her ankle which had evedentaly been sprained, again. On the way back to the TARDIS she hurt her other ankle so Ian was prcticly carrying her.

"Ian, where's grandfather?" Susan asked.

"I'll find him." Ian replied. He walked out the TARDIS and locked it with the key, then began piling rocks infront of the door so she wouldn't wander off again.

ooc: oh good, you finally rescued Susan :D

As I've said before I'm not on as much as you guys so go ahead and RPG my characters when I'm not on

oh, and I'm not really sure where the fifth is right now and Martha seems to have been left by herself so I'll RPG Martha until I figure out.

(I read all the pages I missed but I'm still a little lost)

Martha watched as her doctor came up the Quarry and started greeting the new arrivals. She saw he was with Rose and realized that he didn't know her yet, she would have to be rather imprecise about where she was from it seemed.

"Doctor!" Jamie shouted, breaking into a run. Why weren't the rest of them helping him? Or had they struck him down themselves?

--

Two lay in the dirt and carefully eyed the edges of the pieces of meteorite in front of him.

"Aha. Just as I thought. This piece is bigger. It's slightly thicker than the other."

"Then I better take it," Three said. "I'm more familiar with this time than you are."

Two rolled onto his back and regarded him sourly. "Oh you are, are you? I don't see that that gives you any advantage. You're still me. Oh!" he added with protest as One poked him with his walking-stick. "All right, all right!"

He started to get up, reaching as he did so for the largest piece of meteorite. Three stepped forward to 'lend him a hand' while carefully placing his foot over it. Two banged Three's foot with his fist.

"Ah!" complained Three, as he hopped back.

Two snatched up the piece as he got up. "I never change, do I?" He went to stuff it in his pocket only to have his own foot stepped on. "Ow!" he complained, losing his balance and falling right into his assailant.

Three smiled politely as he steadied Two. "Sorry about that, old chap."

Two glowered up at him and stuck out a palm. "You learned that sleight-of-hand while you were still me! Give me back that piece!"
