The Tardis did look cool in this year's Christmas Special..... what? Nobody wants to comment on it? I know you guys watched it!

Haven't seen the new Christmas special yet, only bits and bobs of episodes featuring the new doctor. Before i ever watched him, i was mad because i loved David Tennent as the 10th doctor and didn't want to see him go but when i watched 'The Next Doctor' episode featuring Mat Smith i ended up liking him alot better! I like it that everything was different with the companions- not the usual female companion who falls in love with the doctor- and i was especially overjoyed when they didn't boot Rory off because he's so sweet and really adds to the whole story.

I haven't seen much of the last season of Doctor Who but i did see the Christmas Special called 'A Christmas Carol' which was sensational!I loved the whole twist to the original story by Charles Dickens and how Stephen Moffat didn't take away the basics of it but made it just as enjoyable- form a science fiction perspective!

Anyways, looking forward to catching up with this 'new' doctor and seeing the more recent Christmas Special with the new tardis!

I think that everyone should give every doctor a try before they pick favorites. I live David, but Matt is an amazing Doctor too.

Since you've been gone, no one has posted.:p

I absolutely loved the episode, it's one of my favorites. I even bought it oniTunes already. Clara is brilliant, and Moffat's writing was ingenious. The whole photato thing was very clever. Oh, and the Sherlock references. I nearly cried. The only thing that I didn't like was the monster. Kinda lame. Usually Moffat makes the best monsters. But for every Chirstmas special it's just not that food. I think this is Moffat's best Christmas episode, if not the best episode he's written.

Oh, and I think the TARDIS looks stunning. I like it much better than I thought I would.

Thoughts? Comments? Therories for the new companion? Please tell.

I really liked the Sherlock references, too. It was hilarious when the Doctor was trying to be Sherlock and making terrible deductions!

I didn't really like the new TARDIS interior, just because it seems so much darker than before, but maybe that was just the mood of this episode and it will be better lit in future episodes.

I'm also really intrigued by Clara's storyline. Previously I've always been behind on Doctor Who, so I could always find the answer to something like this--like who River was or how the Doctor survived The Impossible Astronaut--very quickly. Now I have to be in suspense!

I like the tardis because it reminded me of the old tardis in ClassicWho. The color could be different though, I agree. The Gallifreyian looks stunning on the console, I love that.

I loved the Christmas special! I didn't think that the monster was that great, but everything else was so amazing that it more than made up for it. xD

Clara is such a fun character! I am going to love having her as a companion. She has a sweet personality and just seems very likable overall. Oswin was awesome, if a bit smart alecky. Clara is just adorable.

Yes, I too loved the scene where the Doctor dressed up as Sherlock! I had to pause the video in iTunes so that I could shriek and laugh and squeal with excitement before resuming.

I'm really looking forward to finding out what Clara's story is! This looks so fascinating. :D

Glad you all like the episode. I liked it too and I'm waiting for the rest of the series and see what Clara Oswin's story is!.

On another note, a while back I introduced a young friend of mine to Doctor Who and now she's a huge fan as well. She has seen most of the series (Courtesy of my lending her the box sets :) ) and she is just now getting caught up on the 7th series.

Well, a short story to make a point here. For extra credit in Social Studies, she had to do a presentation on any country of her choosing and, you guess it, she chose the UK just because of Doctor Who! Half of her presentation will be on facts about the UK and the other half will be about Doctor Who. I assisted her in her research and gave her ideas on what to talk about regarding the UK while including DW references. For example, when talking about Scotland, she will mention that the actor playing the 10th Doctor is Scottish. An important city in Wales is of course Cardiff where most episodes of DW are filmed. The list goes on! I'm so proud of her! :D

That's so cool BK!

I just got to the episode called Blink -- in like the 2nd or 3rd Series of the modern ones. Very scary!

BK- that's awesome! I just got a senior(he's kinda like my mentor) in my tech class and he loves it. He's already on third season and it's been a week and a half. He came to me this morning rambling on about Doomsday.

Inky- I love the weeping angels. They're my favorite monster.

Yah, the ending of those weeping angels was cool, and the end of that episode was good, too. Now I am into a multi-episode srtory featuring the Master ... right now things are looking very bleak!!! But it was interesting to see Capt Jack back and discover what had happened to him because of Rose's resurrecting him... Hope I have time tonight to watch the next episode.

My Plushie!

Hey! I got this plushie for Christmas! Clicky on it! (Inky, you'll have to get to the 4th series to know what it is!) :D

The Master is one of my favorites. The ending is surprising.

Nice, BK! I really want one of those. Might get on at comic con this year.

My friend just got into season 4, he loves it. I can't believe how fast he's going through the episodes.

Things finally slowed down so I could get back to my Dr Who on kindle, and I just started the 4th season the other day -- but I did get through the Adipose episode. Those fat things were adorable!!! (And what a great gift for you BK.)

What was Rose doing there?!
Don't tell me. :)

I was happy Catherine Tate was back; I like her, as an actress. Right now I am in the middle of The Sinatra Stratagem. I know that's not right! but I can't remember the name of the aliens. Now Martha is back! :)

OK, the Sinatra one, it was a 2-part one, and it was really good. I especially liked that the Dr gave the Santorans a choice, was willing to sacrifice himself to give them the choice, and then that the Rattigan boy sacrificed himself to try to atone for what he'd done. That was really a good ending. But now, at the end of this one, Martha has been sucked into the next episode, "The Doctor's Daughter" with them! I hope this doesn't ruin her engagement! I want her to be happy ...
