I like the new Doctor too. I think he'll do a great job. Hopefully the show gets a little more mature! :p
Agreed! That was one reason I liked Donna Noble as a companion, she wasn't a spring chicken like Amy and now souffle girl. I think I will like having an older Doctor.

Welcome Warrior! I saw you earlier and forgot to say that. Nice to see you here and hope you have lots of fun here at The Dancing Lawn.

And I agree with you about the new Doctor, I think he will be good. :)

I just sent my niece and nephew (her husband) the first season with 9th and Rose, that I bought cheap on ebay. I hope they love it! I started watching that season on my Kindle and was hooked. I loved Eccleston and was so upset when he was gone ... but then Tenant was so adorable, he completely won me over. And I HATED to see him go. But Smith was so perfect ... I am VERY SAD he is going! So the pattern is: I will love the next Doctor, too. They do really excellent casting on this program. :)

There is not one character than is not perfectly casted, that is very true.
I am listening to "This is Gallifrey", but it's slowed down by 25%. It's too beautlful for words.

In the meantime, Doctor Who at the Proms went over in England and I am glad to say that they performed possibly the most beautiful song, if not of all of Doctor Who, at least for series 7, the song for the episode The Rings of Akhaten.

It was performed in two parts in one (according to the official soundtrack coming out September 9) with God of Akhaten and The Long Song together. The first one is the one they sing to keep the "god" sleeping and the second one they sing to help the Doctor (otherwise known as the "wake up" song).

The Long Song

Live...
Wake up
Wake up
And let the cloak of light
Cling to your bones,
Cling to your bones,
Wake up
Wake up

Live...
Wake up
Wake up
And let the cloak of light
Cling to your bones
Cling to your bones
Wake up
Wake up

Live...

And the following is a wonderful close-up of The Long Song part alone!

My family was at the LA County Fair yesterday and I saw a Tardis that won 2nd place in baked goods!

Since everybody's posting pictures I have a few to post.
The first one is something I drew to go along with a crazy story my cousin and I made up. We were traveling with the (10th) Doctor, and nobody really paid attention to where we parked the TARDIS, so the three of us ended up falling out of it and tumbling down the side of a snowy hill. The picture I drew depicts the moments right before this.
The second one is my Doctor Who.... stuff. I don't have money to go buy all the Doctor Who merchandise, so I have improvised. You can see my little TARDIS (I made that thing), my sonic screwdriver, pen, thing (it has a little flashlight on the end), my old 3D glasses, my TARDIS key and my little Whitepoint Star diamond.

Hi all! I really need help with the last episode!!

*attempts a River Song Voice*

Spoilers!

I'm in a bit of a dilema here... what's with the whole twist with John Hurt? Is he a future doctor? and how does he tie in with Peter Capaldi?

John Hurt plays a past Doctor (probably the one who ended the Time War, since I can't think of any other reasons that his future regenerations would shun him) and he is going to be in the 50th. We don't know much more. Peter Capaldi is going to be the 12th Doctor, but (as far as I know) will not be appearing in the 50th. The two are not related except in the fact that they are both regenerations of the Doctor.

In other news, I finished season 7.:p
