Expired Narnia Contest Entry

I am sinning.....I am coveting your car or rather the decals, painting, etc., on it. Between you and Michelle (LifeMaiden) and her collection, this pastor is in deep trouble!!! ROFLOL!!!
haha! well, as far as the decals, my fiance made those. :D he works at a sign printing place...i can ask him how much they'd cost if you like.

and yeah, lifemaiden's collection is AMAZING.
I have that Aslan plushie! Isn't he just the softest thing you've ever hugged? Ever since the movie came out, I had been wishing for a plush Aslan to hug... I didn't even know they made them until after Christmas, when I found mine on clearance at the Disney store.

I put a picture of him on my Facebook page (since he was too big to fit in my suitcase when I came back to school) with the caption, "Of course he's not a tame lion... but he is cuddly."

And Son of Adam may be coveting your car, but I'm coveting your necklace and earrings. And license plate holder. Please forgive me.
yes!! i <3 my aslan. i've wanted one my whole life! when i first heard that they were making them, i didn't really know what i thought about that. like...aslan is supposed to represent a manifestation of Jesus...and the idea of a stuffed Jesus just doesn't seem right. but then i remembered when i was little and ALL of my plush lions were always "aslan," but they were never good enough, b/c i always wished they'd make one that was really supposed to be aslan. so...my fiance bought him for me :D and i can't say i didn't cry a little...haha.

and the necklace and earrings...if you can get a hold of some zipper pulls...or a zipper pull and a necklace charm, i could make some for you. i designed the license plate frame on speedysigns.com...you can make whatever you want on there! (but it's like $20 plus shipping) mine's like this:

and i forgot to post this picture--i painted on our clothes.

If I like???;) You bet I like!!! Ask how much and let me know. My finances are a bit stretched thin, but we'll see.

Wow Julie and Lady Liln you are both beautiful and it looks like you both went to a lot of work with your entries...you both would have one in my book. ;)

thats not fair. Lots of Narnia fans are young and are teens and so on. I just dont think thats fair

The problem isn't so much the contest itself, but the legalities of underage kids traveling overseas, etc. There are a lot of legalities involved that just cannot be worked out for those who are under legal adult age.

I also entered and did not make it. I will have to post my entry here.

Ok my brothers...I got up the courage to post mine...Carl and Tim I'm still waiting to see yours. I really want to see the pics too! Come on now...no excuses.

Thanks for the compliments yall! I did work hard on the entry...and it cost a bit...but there it is. Lady Liln, you've got great pics there. Go for it and post your entry too. I'm sure it's awesome. I wonder if they'll make other contests for future movies? Who knows. It would be fun. Sometime if I can get my hands on some resizing softwear again I'll post the pic I have with the map of Narnia so yall can see it. There's no way I was gonna post that pic in the entry. It's too much of a collectable.

Still waiting...come on guys. *pouts a bit* Hopefully more people can post theirs...it's fun to read them...even if they didn't make it. The voting for the final will start the 9th of Feb. I'm probably gonna vote for Brian (glumpuddle), the November finalist.

k, he said he's not sure since he doesn't do the pricing, but he thinks the big narnia would be about $30. however, i do have an extra smaller one. it looks like this, only it's the see-through window cling like on the back window:

i think the letters are 4 or 5 inches tall, but i'm not sure. you can have it if you want...unless you just feel like making a donation to the poor people's wedding fund. :D hehe

thank you. :D it means more coming from REAL fans and not those silly buena vista people who were judging the entries. it's not even the "ultimate" fan contest anymore as far as i'm concerned.

Too true Lady Liln. The voting starts tomorow. Only one person on there is on here as well...at least to my knowledge. Just Brian. Nina is on NarniaWeb as well. I think Brian will win, and blessings to him in that. He'd give good reviews and spoilers...he presents most of the ones we see regularly on NarniaWeb.

I think it's fun to see other entries and see why we all appreciate Narnia and love it...and see how it influenced everyone.

I'm going to vote for Brian (aka glumPuddle), the November finalist. He's been an invaluble asset - he really is a devoted fan, and he deserves the reward. Besides, if he went, we could get a detailed report since he's a member of NarniaWeb and I think here too. :D

New as an active member...

Greetings, Narnia fans. I'm new to the board (other than as a regular reader) and made the leap to join because I have a personal connection to one of the Ultimate Narnia Fan finalists: Emily of Atlanta. I know some of you felt like her win wasn't fair, given she posted a family picture. It was an honest oversight, since corrected, and an attempt to show all the costumes she made.

I hope you'll read all the entries and vote your conscience -- and obviously I hope you'll give Atlanta Emily a good, supportive look! I can assure you that you won't suffer a lack of appropriate updates should she win a trip to visit the set!

Hey everyone! I'm a new member, and I was drawn into your discussion about the Narnia contest, because my mom is actually one of the finalists.

Looking through all the entries, it does seem silly that they didn't pick some of y'alls, especially compared to the poem, which was cute, but not over the top obsessive. I can't see the car pictures because my college website restricts the host page for some strange reason, but that description sounded really cool. I love cars with personality.

Anyway, they have some interesting finalists... Brian, who did advertising for the movie seemed pretty cool. Randy had an impressive movie, though it seemed a bit over the top.

Anyway, my mom is the Emily from Atlanta, and I know there was that slight misunderstanding about the picture, though it's an honest mistake, seeing as her narnia obsession has been passed on to the entire family, and it's hard to talk about or show her love for narnia without talking about other people, because she's always involved other people. She put so much effort into our narnia party for more than 250 people, and we basically bought out an entire theater afterwards to see the movie. She is gifted in so many ways, and uses all of her gifts to show her love for narnia and lewis, and to effectively use that to encourage love and fellowship with other people.

Anyway, I encourage you all to vote, and hopefully you'll consider voting for my mom. they all are impressive entries, but I promise my mom will be sure to give a detailed report of her trip. She's put so much effort in making narnia come alive for other people, I feel like she deserves a chance to see narnia come to life for herself.

Welcome King Frank and Rinny! Hope that you'll enjoy the forum. If we had a computer up and running at my house I'd get my mom on. My family all loves Narnia too. There are a number of Narnia family groups on here. Parthian King and Prince of the West are part of another family group if I remember correctly.

If the rules had been different I would have put my nieces (Who live with me) in the pic too. They have Susan and Lucy costumes (coronation) and are too cute. The capes took me forever to do the cording and patterns on the back. They turned out better than I thought they would. The pearl work on the Lucy dress took some time too. I wasn't sure how much I wanted to put on the dress knowing how fast a 2-year-old could destroy it...but she does ok. I finally found a crown to go with the Susan one that I hope will work. Don't know how 3-year-old friendly it is, but we'll see. The girls ran around in their movie shirts this weekend...they were adorable. My dad can't wait till PC comes out! He loves Reepicheep. My bro loves Narnia too, but thinks the rest of us are nuts...but he did love the movie shirt I got him for Christmas and he tries to make it so I don't catch him watching the movie! It's funny.

Anyway, good luck to your mom. Is she on here? How about NarniaWeb? Anyway, have fun on here and if you have questions about the forum feel free to ask.

Hi - I'm a frequent visitor to narniafan.com, but a newbie to posting. (I just joined the forum after urging from Rinny and KingFrank). Thanks for the welcome and kind words, Into the Wardrobe. I thought your entry was great. I'd love to see the pictures of your nieces in their costumes. I agree with daughter, Rinny, that lots of the entries, including those that weren't chosen are really good. .

Lady Liln - I also thought your Aslan painted car was very cool. I apologize for putting in the family picture. I never read the fine print, so I didn't know it wasn't allowed until after the fact. I changed it as soon as I found out.

While it would be amazing if I won the Ultimate Fan contest, I wish the best to all of the finalists. I know we are all total Narnia fans.

Welcome to TDL. Are you on NarniaWeb too? You did a great job on everything at the party. How long have you been a fan of Narnia and when did you read the books first?
