I apologize one and all for my long silence on the contest. Yes! I've been going nuts. I am the winner (QueenNellie/Emily from Atlanta), and I was notified on Monday afternoon via email. I then had to sign a bunch of legalese stating that I would not pass on this information in any online/internet medium until after Disney had posted on the original site. I figured that would be Tuesday. After a fairly sleepless night Monday (from bouncing inside all night), I expected to hear. Then I waited all day Tuesday (passing time by reading your amusing posts - thanks Meldred). I exchanged emails with the Disney liason, asking if they would please at least inform the other finalists. Was told they couldn't until after the official posting, which hopefully would be sometime that day. Finally went to bed Tuesday, woke up numerous times to refresh the narnia.com web page. Still nothing. On Wednesday I spent another nerve-wracking day, waiting for it to post so I could tell people freely. (I had been told I could tell family and friends, just nothing online - now that it is taking so long, I was beginning to panic that as the word crept out by word of mouth, someone would inadvertantly mention it in a child's hearing who would post online somewhere, because that's their medium of expression (I'm much less worried about leaks from folks in my generation, who aren't as computer plugged in).) Continued to read posts, about to explode wanting to say something to you guys, hoping that you would figure out what my silence meant - I thought telepathic thoughts at you as hard as I could. Sent more emails to Disney begging them to hurry, telling them the forums were starting to figure it out because I wasn't responding to posts, and that the groundswell of local folks with knowledge was snowballing and I didn't know how long it would be before some kind of leak happened online. Taught my little kids Children's Choir, wasn't able to tell them, when they were all asking "Miss Emily" if I won. Checked again. No Disney posting. Went to Adult Choir practice. Still no word. Finally went to bed again. Now it's Thursday, STILL no posting. I'm a wreck. I really feel for GlumPuddle and ninaruth (on Narniaweb) going so long without any word at all. While it was incredibly exciting to know I'm the winner, it was also incredibly difficult to know and not be able to say anything.
So I can finally talk again!
