In FOTR: The end, because everyone is off to do impossible tasks to save the world, but they're going to hunt orc because they know that even if they wish that none of it had happened, that they hadn't gotten into theses situations, all they can do now is do what's right, "all they have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to them" as Gandalf says. I also like when Boromir takes down like sixteen orcs after getting shot three times. That part is so sad, and so inspiring. Also, I still love Aragorn's first scene with Frodo. It was the first time I'd heard him properly, not in a spliced together version for a commercial, and his voice was so different from what I'd expected, and a lot lot better than any other Aragorn I'd seen that it made me love him, and the scene.
In TTT: Sam's speech at the end, and Aragorn's "Ride out with me" I also like Merry's speech to the ents, when they tell him that "This is not our war" and he says "But your part of this world! You have to help!" It really reminds me of current events, and how we shoudl have the courage to help others if it's the right thing to do, even if it's not technically "Our war."
In ROTK: When the Rohhirrim come to Gondor. They see that thier friends are in huge trouble, and most likely a lot of them are dead, but they know what they have to do, what is right to do, and what they can do to save future generations. It's an incredible act of love and heroism, and even hope to shout "death!" before they let evil win. They realize that too late is not worse than never,(To quote Merry in the book) and they may not be too late. I also adore the part where Arwen turns back from the Grey Havens, she stops not because of her undying love for Aragorn, not because she wants to help save Middle Earth, though these are all part of it, but what tips the scale overwhelmingly is the
possiblity that she will have a child. She gives up her immortality irrevocably not only for Aragorn, but because she wants to stay and have her child. She considers that unborn, unconcieved life so precious that she gives up her own for it. That is such a powerful, powerful message to our world today. Also, I cry through the last ten minutes of the movie, so that's also my favorite part.
P.S. I may think Mr. Tumnus has nice eyes, and Peter is very handsome, but I also have Aragorn, Legolas and ring letters bracelets on my arm, so that's where my true loyalties lie.
