I hate the fact that everyone thinks that french ppl hate us american's I think it's the other way around that some americans hate french ppl. I'm taking french next year as a class.
I do not think that all americans hate french people. It's a shame that people think that cuz of a minority. I know some american people, and they joked about me being french and all, but that was just to joke around, it has never been mean. Actually, I was the first one to joke about my origins.
Whatever.
But as you said, only SOME americans hates us, and SOME french people hates americans.
I've heard one of my friends saying "why are you talking to THEM?". "THEM" referring to the american peeps I know. I felt really offended, not about her question, but the way she asked me.
I mean, how bad is it to talk to people you'd probably never met in real life? I can't understand why it's so surprising to talk with a guy or a girl living 10 000 kms away from you, someone you've never met in real life?
I've been learning (officially) english for 10 years (and God knows I still have to work it a lot), and I've never had an occasion to use it before I came here (maybe cuz I've always felt like I wasn't good enough. Now I know I can be understood, and that was my goal).
I think I got lost and that does not make any sense.
Anyway.
I just wanted to say (a short cut helps sometimes
) that it's not cuz some people thinks something that they're always right. I think you've got to make your own opinion before saying whether they're right or wrong.
But to be honest, I think that people are mistaking. French people don't hate americans... They just hate speaking english... Cuz that means they have to work a bit (that's such a cliché, but who cares?). That's why (I think), my friends were surprised when I told them that I talk to some americans.
French next year?
Good luck.
If you need some help with the basics or for some french homework, just ask.
