Alipang signalled the others with his eyes that he wanted to be the one to answer Kim's question.

"Hello, Kim. Last night, there was an attempted robbery on Craddock Street, which is between the Pansit Paradise and my neighborhood. But the intended victim spotted the robbers before they could jump him, and he wasn't hurt. Unfortunately, no one including the intended victim knows who the crooks were, not even what race they were."

Alipang was actually more at ease talking about violent menaces than thinking about what Kim Tisdale made him hopelessly wish for.

"Oh wow, geese. That sux, did they leave any evidence behind?"

Alipang shrugged. "I'm told the police did a thorough search. They didn't find any dropped objects. I don't know if they found anything like footprints to show the movements of the crooks."

Alipang suddenly leaned over and kissed his sister. "I hope those creeps don't decide to move on to girls."

OOC-- Yes, we just came out of the Wednesday morning assembly at which the idiot principal said self-love was the cure to crime and violence--as if the hoodlums DON'T already love themselves!

ooc: Ok I think I will be able to come in!

ic: Sarah was standing in the hallway wanting to talk to someone but not wanting to say something silly and make herself look like a fool.

Alina, feeling, for the moment, social, walked up to Sarah. "Hello, my name is Alina. whats yours?"

Holding Chilena very very close, Alipang said to her, "Here, Sis, store this up"--and he kissed her left cheek, her forehead and her right cheek, then hugged her even tighter before letting go and heading for classes.

Alipang had been about to leave, but her wistful voice drew him right back into a renewed embrace. "What can I do for you, sweets?"

One thing Chilena had seen her brother do to amuse children was sleight-of-hand: pretending to "find" objects in the children's ears or their backpacks. "Why, I was sure I already gave them to you..." He fished in her purse--he might have done it in her pants pocket, but onlookers would have thought he was patting her flanks--and she could guess what was coming.

"Why, sure enough!" he said in innocent tones. "You already have them right here!"--and he "brought out of her purse" a pair of white-gold earrings with her birthstone [you fill that in].

" Oh, Al you didn't!," she said, hugging him " Oh, I love them I thought you for got about my birthday," she told him, kissing his cheek.

He kissed her back, remarking quietly, "I'm glad I'm _here_ to give them to you. Happy birthday, sweets!" And they worked in what some call a squishy hug. After that, seeing no sign of Kim anymore, Alipang did at last head for classes.
