Jen walked with Brendan down to gym, happy as can be.

ooc: i gtg. happy new years everybody. i probably wont be on again, but if i am, thats good :D

Alipang still had Biology coming up with Kim. He was not about to brag to her himself about his triumph; but it would not displease him if she were to hear about it. Still, he wondered sometimes if Kim _was_ taking notice of goings-on at East High; or was she _actually_ wishing she were in someplace like Malibu instead?

Alina had successfully finished her first day of classes in the USA.
After hurrying home, she was greeted by her goodly mother who was quick to inquire of the day's happenings.
"Oh, nothing much happened, mom. I just want to the classes. Really the only people to talk to my were some football jock and this little nerdy girl in my last class. I pretty much just sat and watched."
"Well, your father and i hope you dont just skate through life like you did at your old school. It would be wonderful if you could make some friends. I hear from the neighbor woman, Mrs. Lee, that their are some really nice decent kids in Smoky Lake."
"Yah, sure mom". And, with that, Alina trudged upstares to her bedroom.

Ferny, you are now only about 22 hours behind all other active characters in this roleplay.

Alina has gotten through Monday (= first day of classes); everyone else is nearing the end of Tuesday's classes. But that's okay, my _favorite_ thing is writing summaries. No one better complain if I emphasize my own character when doing so; no one was preventing the rest of you from doing this.

Tuesday began for Alipang as Monday had done: with a chance to intervene against bullies. In this case, the bully had not yet _done_ anything violent, only tried to goad Alipang's pacifist friend Grant into a fight. Alipang didn't hurt the troublemaker, just put a little fear into him; but even this was distressing to the dogmatically nonviolent Grant. Meanwhile, the two strongly established romances in the RP were getting stronger: Nightfire's male character Dan with Alipang's adoptive sister Chilena, and smart girl Jennifer with would-be military cadet Brendan. And Suri, the girl from Honduras, made progress at gaining friends.

Alipang found a new "assignment" for himself before the morning was out: learning more about a boy named Steve who was making Chilena uneasy. Steve, though, eventually was attested by his third-year sister Cindy to be harmless. Alipang had a more pleasant piece of business: being able to help his hopelessly-longed-for Kim Tisdale further, by enabling her to get a job where he works (the Filipino resturant).

The big blowout of the day came at lunchtime. The self-styled gangsta "Leopard Man" came into the cafeteria and threatened Chilena in the presence of numerous witnesses; then, when the lady principal came in and caught him at it, he tried to get away with claiming that HE was the one being harassed. But Alipang decided it was now time to spring his hole card. He gave the principal proof (a cellphone photo) that Leopard Man had attempted to rob another student at knifepoint on Monday morning. This caused the principal to take decisive, powerful, iron-fisted action: scheduling Leopard Man for more self-esteem counselling. But the clearly-displayed willingness of athlete Brendan to intervene if Leopard Man started something caused his new friendship with Alipang to be solidified.

Now Alipang would have very few cares in his world...if not for the fact that his dear friend Jason Katon (controlled by The Confessor) is foolishly flirting with gang membership.

ooc: Haha oh i see :D

With her backpack around her shoulders and clutched tightly in the front by the straps, Alina again trudged down her new school's hallway. Tuseday. Day two. Excitement. Sarcasm. But, such was life.
One things she found interesting about her new school was how much excitement could happen during lunch in a school cafateria. Her old school lunches never had that much action.
She mused. One could learn alot about people by mearly sitting and observing them.

OOC: You referring to excitement must mean that you suppose Alina to have seen Alipang's coup of proving Leopard Man guilty in front of the principal.

Jack Torinburg, the boastful football captain from yesterday, now came swaggering up to Alina.

"Hey, babe, it's good to see you again. Remember me? I'm Jack, the captain of the football team. Don't worry about the little disturbance over there; * I * have it all under control. Mrs. Lewiston relies on me to help keep order; it comes with being the captain of the football team. If you have any more questions, you can ask me; as the captain of the football team, I know practically everything worth knowing about this school."

Jack Torinburg. Alina didnt really wish to know to much more about him. She had already pre-judged and catagorized him in a file in the back of her mind.
Look, Jack, considering that we are mearly acquaintances, I would much prefer that you referred to me as Miss Lundin or, at the least, Alina. I find it a bit more respectful that way. Thank you kindly." She made a discreet curtsy.

"Now wait a minute! What's with all this attitude? Did you hear who you're talking to? I'm the captain of the Falcons football team!"

"Yet, do I look like I care. I'm sorry. I am offending people already. Thats the problem with being outspoken. Because of this, i find it best to keep to myself and keep silent. I appreciate that you do not ignore me, but would prefer that you talk to me as if we are equals. As of yet, your manner of speech places you on a self-exalted pedastool. Oh, sorry. There is another opportunity for offense. If you are offended easily by my "attitude" it is best that you dont "reach out to me".

Jen walked into the girl's locker room, parting with Brendan. She looked for her locker, number 89. When she arrived at it, however, she gasped. It was wide open, and everything was taken out. Where was her uniform? She left the locker room and rushed to the principal's office. Burglary? she thought to herself as she walked past confused classmates.

Jack looked like--like what he was: an idiot encountering something outside his expectations. He was just beginning, as if he were a character in a bad joke, to repeat that he was the captain of the football team, when a Cuban-accented voice barked in his ear: "TORINBURG!"

Suddenly deflated, Jack turned to face a fortyish man who was shorter in height than he, but wider and harder. "Uh, yes, coach? I was just--"

"I know exactly what you were doing, chico," snapped the coach: "the same thing your older brother used to do--expecting your football rank to translate into social royalty. Well, I cured your brother of that; we sent _him_ off to college as a gentleman. But I have less hope of you. If you want to BE the football captain one minute from now--if you even want still to be on the _team_ one minute from now--you will apologize to this young lady NOW."

Jack swallowed hard, then faced Alina once more. "Okay, I'm sorry. I won't bother you again."

Jen walked into the main office and asked if she could talk to the principal. The secretary looked at her in a wierd way but let her into the principal's office.

"Excuse me," Jen said quietly. "I think someone might have stolen all my things from my gym locker..."

"We mustn't be judgmental," said Mrs. Lewiston cloyingly. "Are you certain you went to the right locker?"

With a bright, cheery face that could have easily been the anoying bane of Jack, Alina curtsyed and said quite frankly "Your apology is accepted."
With her eyes, she thanked the coach and continued down the hallway.

ooc: this really could have been happening any time during the school day so whatever time everyone else wishes it to be is fine with me:)

"We mustn't be judgmental," said Mrs. Lewiston cloyingly. "Are you certain you went to the right locker?"

"Yes," Jen nodded. "Mine is locker 89... but I don't know what to do, I don't have a uniform nor anything else that were my personal belongings..."
