True, but look at Alice in Wonderland... it's doing well, but not Avatar numbers. And Avatar had been filmed in 3-D. VoDt would ahve to be converetd and many time's it tends to be rather jarring.
PS, I like your title for Avatar in your siggy. It's so true!
They WERE talking about putting in 3D a while ago, though...I dunno what happened with that
As for the competition, I was getting the Green Hornet confused with the Green Lantern. If it was GL, then we WOULD have a problem...
As for Tron, I admit, I actually want to see that
But probably only once or twice. I fully intend on watching VDT at least 4 times, like I did with PC. (I'm not kidding)
PS: Thanks. I didn't really like the movie, obviously
Too political and the plot was...well, yeah
no matter how good or bad this movie dose i dont think it will hurt the production of any further narnia books into movies....i last read somewhere that they Will be making all of the books into movies in the order they were published, hopfuly that is correct and nothing changes....but i do believe that Narnia has a strong enough fan base that they will go ahead with all of them
We have to remember though, that although fanbase may be strong, the franchise is also somewhat at the mercy of the film studio. If the film flops (which I'm sure it won't), then Fox may see no reason to keep supporting the series and could drop it, which would leave Walden searching for another partner studio yet again and/or without sufficient funding. Studios understand money. Big money = we keep this, b/c the next film will make more money. It's annoying, but that's how it works.
Chances are, though, that's not going to happen. But VDT needs to break the $200 million dollar limit in the states b/c by today's standards that's now just "average" for a big film like that (stupid, again, I know. I hate price inflation)
