Wasthe movie good though i want to see it caue i like brendan fraser i am rading the book right now i am on chapter 8 i like how it post quotes from otherl lit work in the begininng of the chapter and its odd some of the books i know i read before

oh my goodness! i can't wait to see it now! and we are out of the usa until monday at least. :(

there's no cinema here that i know of with first-run movies.

can't wait!

interesting adaptation

I finally got to see Inkheart while chaperoning my son's birthday party, and it was a lot of fun. Although there were many changes in the movie adaptation from the book, I still enjoyed the movie. It was interesting how the simplifying was done and the ending was scripted so there are less loose threads dangling. This way you don't need to have read the book to enjoy the flick.

I think my son would have liked the movie to have been closer to the plot though, so there two sequels would have been necessary.

Paul Bettany defiantly stole the show as Dustfinger. He was amazing, he had the role down perfectly. Everything from his lines to just his facial expressions were brilliant, he made me really care about his character more than I already did from the books. (I honestly wanted to hug him throughout the movie)

See the movie. It was amazing, even if you haven't read the book. The book-to-movie adaptation was perfect right on the spot. You'll enjoy it.

Agreed completely. Paul Bettany stole the the movie, I personally was more interested in Dustfinger then I was in Meggie and Mo, but that's just me and my insane brain.

I really wish that the ending had been the same as the book then there would be a sequel!

I haven't gotten around to reading Inkdeath, probably someone told me the ending before I read it.

I saw Inkheart the second day it was out and I absolutley loved it! It was funny too, me and my cousins and sister were laughing our heads off at some parts! Like, "And what's that sticky stuff called?" "I believe it's Duct tape..." "Duct tape...I love duct tape!!" lol!

xD
My friends and I saw it opening night. We thought it might be sold out so we left over an hour before the showing we were going to started. We ended up in the theater with 45 minutes to blow. It ended being filled.

It was so funny and worth the nine dollors that it cost to get in.

i just saw it today. it was good! and i think paul bettany stole the show too. even if he didn't, i'd still pay attention to him. i love paul bettany, he's amazing.

did you know that cornelia funke based mo on brendan fraser? pretty crazy.

I've seen the trailer quite a few times. I was intrigued by seeing that Unicorn in it. Does anyone know why the Unicorn has words on it's side? I figured someone might know who has read the book, because maybe the book would have the answer to that.

When a character or creature is read into our world by a less than skilled "silvertongue," they tend to be damaged in the process, hence the print tattoed on the unicorn. Characters may be altered in other ways as well (one character read into this world loses her ability to talk).

I'm in a pickle. This is a really busy season of the year for travel with my husband, plus we have a road trip for my office, too, leaving on Friday. I have just one free night this week when I can see a movie. My office told me to see Slum Dog Millionaire. We work for a ministry in India, and they want everyone to understand what life is like for the poor in India. But I want to see Inkheart really badly, and I am afraid I won't have the chance once we hit the road. But if I go see it, then what about the film my office wants me to see? It's a tough decision ...

doubt it but

I saw the movie and I LOVED it! Does any one know if they're going to make a movie to Inkspell and Inkdeath too?

I doubt it since the cliffhangers at the end of Inkheart were pretty much resolved in the movie version. But who knows? Hollywood can't resist making sequels to money-makers...

Ok, I see ads for this movie already. Is it coming out soon?
I never read the book (there is just so much to read!) so I'm wondering if the movie is worth going to watch it.

Oh that's sad. :( Thanks for the info in any case. :) I feel bad for the unicorn. :(

Cornelia Funke is MY FAVORITE AUTHOR!!!!!(sorry,i get a little hyper when i talk about her books:p)I read the Thief Lord,Dragon Rider,Inkheart and Inkspell.I'm currently looking for the 3rd book of the Inkworld triology-Inkdeath.I L-O-V-E all Cornelia Funke's books.I wish i could read myself into one of them,or be a Silvertongue.
Also,it would be nice to have a pet like Gwin, even if he bites.:)

love ink books, but the third one....
well, it was good, but certain things were slightly upsetting.
i got it soon after it came out, read it and have barely touched it since.

thief lord :D

I've read or heard Dragon Rider, Thief Lord, Inkheart, and Inkspell. I loved almost everything about them. I was a little displeased witht eh language of the Inkheart Trilogy. Other than that I liked them. What I've heard about Inkdeath I wouldn't want to read it. I've read the summery and read parts of it and personally I don't think it would be good for me to read the whole thing. I enjoyed the other two but Inkdeath sounds to me like it would ruin my perspective of the whole trilogy.
