Question:

Question: Is this people the same that made the Movie Inkheart starring Brendan Fraser or are we talking about a total reboot with another group of people entirely?

You're not a fan of the movie I take it.

I liked all the books but Inkspell would have to be my least favorite if not Inkdeath. Inkspell is where I feel like it started going down hill and Inkdeath was just a mess.

haha no not at all... i saw it because it was supposed to be Inkheart but it ended up that my friends and i were just basically yelling at the theature screen the whole time we watched it :p

x3
I thought it was pretty good all things considered. You have to remember that while it was being made they aimed it mainly at a family audience(sp?) so they worked hard to make it all happy and cheerful instead of dark like the book.

yah, but that doesnt change the fact that they completely changed the storyline hahaha... i did like the first half though :)

It's been five years since I first read it, so when I saw the movie I didn't remember the original plotline. That might have been where I messed up, but I do like the casting.

Dustfinger is getting the most votes on the poll! :D
Wait...where's Gwin's? *Gwin snarls menacingly*

I love the Inkheart Trilogy. Make that any book by Cornelia Funke. Her writing style is so...(watch out! Cliche mode on!) magical.

I've only read Inkheart, which I enjoyed fairly well. Dustfinger was definitely my favorite character; for some reason Moe and Meggie never really appealed to me.

I just finished Inkheart this morning! :D I thought it was pretty good! I liked the writing style, and the plot was spectacular. But I didn't like Elinor at all. -.- She was annoying, and I wanted to wash her mouth out with soap.

Yeah, I didn't like Elinor either. She was pretty annoying. Rather reminded me of the grandmother in Flannery O'Connor's story "A Good Man Is Hard to Find." (The grandmother's flapping mouth gets her entire family killed.)

In answer to ahyperdude, I didn't realize that there was a movie out. Is it any good?

EEEEEEE!
Finally an Inkheart thread! It's one of my favorite book series (Cornelia Funke's an amazing authoress. Read The Thief Lord and Dragon Rider if you liked the Inkworld Trilogy).
I must've read Inkheart at least a dozen times-the other two books were good as well, but the first was ubeatable. Dustfinger is my favorite character...ever! I always liked Mo too, although for unknown reasons, I like most of the characters. Except Basta, who I'm terrified of.

The movie was pretty horrible. Only Paul Bettany was placed in a good role (Dustfinger), and truthfully, I think he was the only one acting.
They made Farid even more annoying than he already is in the book. And Capricorn? Don't even get me started on him.
Now I probably sound like Elinor. Tee hee.

I know!!! Elinor was very annoying! But she has a good character, I could totally imagine someone in real life having that attitude...

The movie of inkheart was pretty good I'd give it a 70%... It follows the story pretty well, I would definitely advise you to watch it!

It follows the book pretty well? I haven't seen the movie myself, so I can't really say otherwise, but that was NOT the impression I have from anyone else who has seen it.

I read Inkheart once, a few years ago. I should probably read it again sometime, and the rest of the series too.

O.o I do not recall the movie following the book very well at all.....

(PS. Ola- of the books you mentioned I believe I read Dragon Rider once, right before I read Inkheart. My mom had gotten me a ton of Cornelia Funke's books from the library and so....
lol, then we watched Eragon and they start talking about the riders in the intro and before they said what they were called I went "Dragon riders!" and my mom is like, "How did you know that?!?" and I said, "I just read a book about dragon riders!", hahaha, so anyway, back on topic.....:p)
