Hello, Lullaby. I'm the resident grandfather. In case you are interested in writing stories or poems yourself, we have an active creative-writing section, "The Professor's Writing Club." Two sub-sections there, "The Marketplace of Technique" and "Short-Story Academy," exist to provide advice on writing methods. I join our other members in hoping you have a great time here.

Hello, I'm LollypopGirl or Jessica and I am new here to the forum. I joined because I'm a fan of the movies and the books. I have not read any of the books yet since I read other stuff but its on my to do list soon. I have to say this place looks friendly and nice. Can't wait to make some friends and post some stuff on here as well. :)

Also I understand my name is spelled wrong but I don't mind it that much. Loli not lolly. So if you notice it I know. Hope to see all you around!
 
Welcome to the forum, Jessica alias Loli. If you are only just beginning with the Narnian books, I strongly urge you to start with The Magician's Nephew. Although it was _written_ later than the best-known of the novels, its action _happens_ earlier. In fact, the title character IS the Professor, when he was a boy in the neighborhood of the year 1890.
 
A further suggestion. AFTER you finish reading "Magician's Nephew," read my fan-fiction SEQUEL TO that book. You can get to my novel by clicking the tiger image on any post of mine.
 
I've had occasions recently to recommend this forum to people in face-to-face meetings. If any of the latest new members ARE persons I met, please LET ME KNOW it's you! I would love to know that I succeeded in persuading someone to join.
