Nobody picks on newbies. In all my experience, people have been kind to those who join the forum! However, if you mean that people goof off and bewilder some newbies, then I suppose that might be true. But I don't consider it "picking on", I consider it something more like, "Look what we get to do here! Isn't this a fun place?"
