1) Yes, BK, I am trying to come up with a list of YA book kisses only. This is not the only place I have asked this question. However, if you feel the need to, go ahead and give the kisses of adult books, just let it be known.
2) CG, only if the kiss in Avatar, the Last Airbender was specifically in a book would it count, and not a book based on an episode or movie. So inky, the Suspian kiss wouldn't count. There were no kisses in Narnia that would qualify in this list.
3) TSI, Even knowing beforehand what was going to happen in "The Book Thief" didn't minimize the effect one bit. That was one of the saddest kisses I remember reading.
MrBob
I changed the color and made your quote bold, so you knew what I was referring to. I
WHOLE HEARTILY disagree with that statement. There were many, many kisses in the Chronicle. While it
may not be between a boy and girl, or one you associate with romance per se, you have forgotten all the wonderful kisses
my LORD gave throughout the Chronicles.
My favorite and think the very best is in the Last Battle, when Emeth finally meets Aslan (my LORD). It is on page 756-757 if you own the entire Chronicle in one book and states the following:
But the Glorious One bent down his golden head and touched my forehead with his tongue
(THAT'S A KISS FOLKS) and said, "Son, thou art welcome,"
Emeth continues on from there with his story but I've made my point. This was also one of the most moving moments for me from the whole Chronicles. It broke me to tears, I have searched my entire life as a christian for GOD to really "get him, understand him." It was during this moment that I finally got what no elder, pastor, teacher or any other christian leader has been able to do. I finally, finally found GOD in all his LOVING glory. I owe a great debt and gratitude to CS Lewis for this book.
It opened my eyes to so many many things I had been taught but could never grasp or fully understand.
No kisses in the Chronicles? I suggest you read the entirety again. You have missed many many beautiful kisses.
