He knudged her playfully. "This is not funny. She just knows when to pick her moments".
"Well you guys have fun....and leave the liquor for us grown ups" she said walking away.
"Oh my gosh. Sorry about that. She just has one too many drinks" he told Jordan.
"It's fine May, don't worry about it". He kept glancing at Evie who seemed to be very fixated on May.
"She's drunk..." he replied to Evies comment bluntly "but she's an okay mom sobre" he added smiling.

"His mum isnt always that bad," said Kylie to Jordan winking at Nate and grinning.

Jordan laughed slightly. "Its fine, my mom has her moments too." She leaned over to Kylie, "I dont think I'm going to fit in here," she whispered.

"Sure you will, you got me and Nate we'll be hear, It just takes some getting used to," she said encouragingly.

May smiled " Really wow I'm so glad because I thought you where mad at me Nate," she told him, fixing her dress " But I want to dance now who wants to join me?," she asked, glareing at Evie.

Evie caught the glare and stared at her. "What?"

May rolled her eyes " You got a huge bug on your dress," she told her.

There was some serious tension between May and Evie and Nate couldnt understand why.

"I'm gonna go get a drink," she turned to got then stopped. "Um, Nate, wherea re the drinks?"

"Uh, no, I don't," Evie said, brushing her skirt off. There was no bug to be seen. "Why are you glaring at me?"

Kylie saw Nates confused look and shrugged slighty, she had never felt the same feeling May had explained when she was around Evie.

She sighed " I don't know you tell me," she told her, looking down " I just like you I don't know why sorry," she told her.

"Fine," Evie said, throwing back the rest of the champagne. "See you all later, apparently I'm not welcome in this group anymore."

He couldnt believe May had just said that, but it's better told to her face than behind her back he supposed.
"I'll show you" he williingly said leaving the group before Evie had left and walking past Kendra and Patrick towards the table at the other end of the room.
"Hey Kendra" he said in his charming voice as he walked past her.
"I have no idea why May is acting so...coldly towards Evie" he said to Jordan aas they got to the table.

May looked at her friend " Tell him I can't I'm so sceard," she told her.

Jordan picked up a drink. "Well, its either becuase she likes you and veiws Evie as compition, or she just plan doesn't like Evie." She looked up at Nate blushing slightly, "did I say to much? I have a bad habit of saying what I think."

Aundrea smiled, she loved compliments. "Thanks. Yeah, I would totally flip it I stained this dress, it was way too expensive." She smiled

Patrick nodded. "I'm gonna go get rid of this glass," he held up his hands. "But I'll be around."

Nate laughed "You should be a lawyer. May is like a little sister to me. I think its the second one. Besides why would she see Evie as competition? It's not like Evie likes me or anything" he added picking up a perfectly triangle shaped sandwich.

"Well Evie is very pretty," she picked up a sandwich, "and you aren't that bad looking," she teased. "So it wouldn't be that hard. Or, its possible that May is being your over protective little sister."
