Never heard of the Monkees? One of the top groups from the late 60s. They had their own TV show and it was sort of a preview of the future of music videos. Songs like, "Last Train to Clarksville", "Daydream Believer", "I'm a Believer", "Pleasant Valley Sunday", "I'm Not Your Steppin Stone", "Valleri"

The Monkees!!! I love them! I always thought Micky and Davy were so much fun together. Michael nesmith even had a solo carreer. They had their own tv show and Davy Jones was the only british guy among them. I'm a believer is prolly their most well-known song but I love daydream believer as well and last train to Clarksville and the funny song I'm gonna buy me a dog :D

Buddy Holly,,,,early Beatles,,,,,Tempations,,,,DOORS:cool:,,,,I grew up around 50's -70's music and i used to HATE it but now that i'm older, I love it. Kind of like brocolli. And fish. :) I love how you can turn on the oldies station and most everyone knows all the words and can sing along together...thats so rare these days!

I grew up in the 70's and know most of the bands/singers and I still recall days when the songs were on the radio which are classicals now.
My dad and oldest brother both loved Elvis very much. My youngest brother was crazy about Buddy Holly while my sister played ABBA and the funky disco music.
When I hear a song from the good ol' years (50's and 60's and 70's) I start to sing with them :D

I love oldies music from the 1930's-50's. :D I am such a huge Elvis fan...I can't even tell you. :p I also love all kinds of big band songs from the 30's and 40's- I love Frank Sinatra and Glenn Miller.

I used to not be able to stand music from the 60's-80's, stuff that my parents loved. But they started listening to this radio station that plays it, and I'm starting to like some of it. I can't really name specific groups or anything, because this radio station supposedly plays "everything." :p I do remember hearing some old Eagles and Lynard Skynard songs that I liked, though...:o

But I could never get into the Beatles.

Vanessa:I looked stuff up at my library, and they have Peter and Gordon,Herman's Hermits,The Who,and The Pacemakers.....thats it..:(
