He immediately stood up and gestured to the chair. "I warmed it up for you. Now, what do you think of my putting Escrima in its historical context, explaining how it fitted in with the Spanish colonial rule?"

Suri came down the stairs and went where her aunt was...

"Aunt Julli...?" said Suri "Yes", "I was wondering how had been the last Labor days around here" "Well" said her Aunt "There are really good your cousin used to love those days he liked to help a lot, I actually don't like to go" "And how did Evan helped in the Labor days?" asked Suri to her Aunt "Well as you know he love to play the guitar" "really?... wow" Suri interrupted, "so he used to play in the concert, and help to make things for the children" said her Aunt to her.

This really waked up Suri's curriosity...

Aravis, con su permiso--

Suri's aunt further mentioned: "There's a small martial-arts school here in town, teaching Filipino Escrima. They do a demonstration at the lakeside each year. You may have met their top student at East High, Alipang Havens, born in the Philippines and adopted. He'll be giving the lecture with the demo this year; I hear he got hurt some way, so he can't do the physical part this time."

OOC: Hannah, do you think Alipang is talking about a SCHOOL report? He isn't; what he means, and Chilena WOULD know this, is the emcee talk he will give at the picnic for the martial-arts exhibition.

Chilena looked at him " Al do you need any help with the class you know I'm a theird degree black belt," she told him.

OOC: LOl I wish I was a black belt :[ if I didn't quit * sigh*

OOC: Story-reality check, Hannah! The Escrima school is the only martial-arts school in Smoky Lake. It does not award belts. You, Hannah, have not made a peep about Chilena being a martial artist of ANY style in four threads up to now. It isn't that Chilena COULDN'T be a black belt, but a black belt in WHAT, and trained WHERE? If we settle these questions, we could say that Chilena gets to spar in the demo as an example of how Escrima practicioners do sometimes train with other arts.

Erin packed up her supplies needed for her snake talk. she said goodbye to all her other animals as she gently put Sky, her rosy boa, into its carrier. she loaded everything into her truck and started driving to where the picnic was going to be held.

OOC: Lioness-of-God has taken the bold and daring step into--Monday! Anyone still in Sunday night, please get things wrapped up!

OOC:lol things were dragging:p

OOC:anyways, Erin has volunteered to do a demonstration for the children with her rosy boa, Sky. She will be talking about snakes and letting them hold and pet her snake while she answers all their questions.:)

OOC: As I said, there is no rule that Chilena CAN'T be a martial artist--remembering that Alipang is also a streetfighter and will always be FAR tougher than his sister; but you never till now SAID that you wanted Chilena to be a martial artist. You never gave input to this roleplay to say HOW Chilena got to be a black belt in a system that uses belts in ranking. So please EITHER decide what you want the "facts" to be in this area, OR delete the post where Chilena says out of the blue sky that she's a black belt.

Aravis-Y, for purposes of your character, you can ignore this whole martial-arts discussion. Go ahead and move Suri to Monday morning.

OOC: Ok I'll move to the next day...

IC: Suri waked up the next morning with the purpose to know more about how does people spend their Labor Day (because this was totally different for her) She got ready for the day, she was wearing blue jeans, black converse, a blue shirt and her bag (that she took everywhere) she also took her camera so she can take pics so her cousin could see them later.

She went down stairs and took her breakfast (that was really good by the way)

Visible in the street from Suri's aunt's home were four boys and two girls looking about 12 years old, all on skateboards and wearing helmets and knee- and elbow-pads. Enough of their loud, happy chatter could be heard to make it clear to Suri that the lakefront park had an area just for skateboarding, and these children intended to do a lot of what they called "gleaming" there.

Suri ate her breakfast really fast.

"See ya until night" she yelled, "wait!! Suri... where r u going so fast" ask her uncle "I'm going to labor day I wanna see everything so I must get going" said Suri "Wait there's something I have to give you" said her Uncle going towards the closet from where he took a box covered by decorating paper "This is for u" "what is it?" asked Suri shacking the box "Open it and u'll see" said her Uncle. Suri teared the paper... I was a phone "This way we'll know where you are, your aunt wanted to keep it until your birthday (it was in one week) but I think that today is the right day to give it to u" said her Uncle, Suri gave her uncle a kiss in his cheek and hug him really strong saying thanx "the number of the house, mine, your cousin and your aunt are already in the phone if u need them" "thanx I have to go bye" said Suri leaving the house.

Suri closed the door, and saw some children playing with skateboards in the park. "It will be a great opportunity to take a pic" she thought...

Erin parked her truck into the parking lot and started unloading her equipment. as she was on her last trip to her truck (to get Sky) she saw a girl about her own age (OOC: Suri)walking towards her.
"Hi!" Erin called, " are you doing anything for the event today?"

Suri heard a voice talking to her so she stopped from where she was and went where the girl was ... "Oh hi!!!" she said "Um actually not... It's my first time on an event like this so I'll be only watching and taking pictures"
