"Bullies don't need much reason, back in Luzon OR here," said Alipang to Chilena. "It's what I tried to make Kim see: they LIKE hurting people, and they keep right on doing it until they learn to fear consequences."

"Speaking of consequences," interjected Dr. Havens, "give me your knife, right now. I didn't specifically TELL you not to carry it today, but you KNOW they're not permitted on park property."

Alipang meekly obeyed. "I'm sorry, Dad, I just feel naked without it. And if I hadn't had it on Thursday, Carlos would have beaten my head in with his nunchaku before Brendan could put him down."

"Still, no internet use for you, except for school purposes, for the coming week."

"Yes, sir." Dr. Havens knew that Alipang would obey this restriction without needing to be checked on.

Kim and Betsy had seen everything that happened but didn't want to get involved. They had seen something happen, but were too far away to know who was involved. Betsy was a pretty good skater and dragged Kim to the ramps. Kim, though not a skater but an artist, took pictures of Betsy and their friends as they did jumps off of rails and the ramps.

Kim loved taking pictures of Nathan's ollies in black and white. For a guy he was graceful, and not to mention wonderfully photogenic. Kevin was the best in their group. The way he sored on his madonnas and nose fulls were wonderful photos, both in color and in black in white.

But Kim's favorite subject were the girl skaters. She often portrayed them as heros in her photo series. Betsy often had bloodied scars from her skating, and that's when Kim would go crazy on her camera.

In competitions it wasn't uncommon to see some of the girl skaters tear from not meeting their expectations in their runs, that was also when Kim went crazy.

Also on summer days when everyone sweated from their skating, Kim loved to capture the angst and passion each girl skater had from skating in the heat.

Betsy often referred to Kim as the captor of blood, sweat, and tears. And that was what Kim got out of the skating park. Beautifully shot blood, sweat and tears.

(ooc many of my firiends are skaters and I've caught awesome pics of it. Though Kim T has a professional camera, where as I only have a coolpix digital (but I do ♥ it))

Ross replied to Chilena, "Don't worry, I have plenty of time to tune it. Our scheduled performance isn't until evening, when hopefully everyone's had enough games that they'll be ready to settle down and hear some _good_ music just _before_ the main concert."

Mark asked Chilena, "How's your brother taking to full-time public school? Has he got a girlfriend yet?"

=========================

Meanwhile, at the soccer field, Gilberto Costamesa, the police chief's son, found a moment to remark to Suri, "In case you're wondering, no, I'm not planning to become a cop. My Dad's a great man, but there are other directions I want to try for myself."

"Really?... what directions are u thinking of trying" said Suri

OOC: The above by Aravis-Y must be thought of as occurring somewhat earlier than the skateboarding incident.

"Engineering and architecture interest me," said Gilberto. "My Dad's police career has given me many occasions to hear descriptions of buildings, bridges and so on...."

OOC: Kim, that's what I told you before: you CAN add characters to your own taste for Kim T. to interact with. Now, back at the Free Clinic:

Alipang, his pain still strong but refusing to push his next hydrocodone dose too soon, walked out with Chilena. /// Hannah, WHICH arm do you want it to be that was hurt in your fall?

>> She stopped. " Al, how can I drive now?," she asked, with a sigh.

"Wake up, Sleeping Beauty," said Alipang, kissing her again. "We both know someone who has his LEARNER'S PERMIT. For the moment, Dad's driving us; and Mom will get your car home eventually. I'll drive you in your car when I can get away with it."

The three of them got into Dad's car to leave the Free Clinic, both siblings in the back.

Alipang rubbed his cheek against her blonde hair. "Why would Dan blame you for BEING attacked? HE was attacked last week by Rocknose; you didn't blame him for that. If anything, you should find yourself getting MORE attention from Dan." Assuming his best teasing tone: "And a good thing, too, because I'm getting SO tired of keeping you amused!"--and he kissed her again.

Wilson Kramer saw and recognized Kim Tisdale. "Miss Tisdale! How are you? Did you see that punk smacking down Chilena Havens? For a moment, I thought--" He stopped himself. He knew enough about Alipang's feelings for Kim that he didn't want to make things worse for the boy by coming out and saying, "I thought Alipang was going to kill that little puke."

"Oh Al and his sister were involved?" Kim asked, "I only saw two people fighting, I didn't know it was Al." She said.

Kevin came over, wondering if Kim were in trouble, "Is this about that fight?" he asked.

" 'Fight' is not accurate," explained Mr. Kramer. "The creep I just arrested _assaulted_ Chilena Havens, because he didn't like her outshining him. If you saw someone run up the ramp and catch him, that was my good friend, Chilena's brother. He made, ahem, a citizen's arrest. It's actually perfectly legal for civilians to assist the authorities. That wasn't a 'fight' either; the creep had no chance at all against Al. After hitting Alipang's sister, he's lucky to be alive." Oops, let it slip after all.

(ooc g2g in a few this will have to be lastpost for now)

"Oh wow hmm," Kim said.

"Maybe you should have gotten pics of that," Kevin said jokingly.

Kim pursed her lips and rolled her lips at him, "Thanks for letting me know."

OOC: Didn't I tell you before, Kim, that you could perfectly well interact with characters besides Weird Al? And here you've done a really good series of posts without saying a single word to him or even to any member of his family. But with you gone and me still on, I have to provide a reason why you and he still don't cross paths...I know, let him still be in the Escrima demo.

Alipang leaned his head against Chilena's, wanting to hug her tightly but still in too much pain. "Looks like I'll get to do my narration for Master Pitik after all, sweets. I was your audience, will you be mine?"
