Peepiceek's Odd-One-Out Quiz

OK, I have thought of a couple more:

10A:
1. Andrew and Digory (mainly Digory, though)
2. Aslan and Jadis
3. Bree and Shasta
4. Caspian

11A
1. Helen and Frank
2. The Pevensies
3. Caspian
4. Rillian

12A
1. Peter in LWW
2. Susan in LWW and PC
3. Edmund in LWW
4. Lucy in PC and sort of VotDT

MrBob

i think ive got the first two...

1. they are all enimes but share a mutial respect for each other.

2.three of them (H+F,pevensies and caspian were all great well known leaders of narnia were Rillian was not....

please tell if im right/on track or not...

this is very fun though!

Sorry, but you are on the wrong track, mr fox.

"1. they are all enimes but share a mutial respect for each other."

Bree and Shasta are not enemies and Caspian is not an enemy of himself, at least I don't think :D My hint for 10A is that you don't have o look in the books for the answer.

"2 .three of them (H+F,pevensies and caspian were all great well known leaders of narnia were Rillian was not...."

I would imagine Rillian, would have been a very well known leader. Heck, Tirian makes reference to him in TLB.

Another hint is that for 10A and 11A, as is sometimes the case with my questions (and Peeps' questions as well), the four share something in common but have a major difference.

MrBob

10A. Caspian is named in a book title. The others are all referred to in a book title but are not named.

Good one!

I love how often great guesses are wrong. And really, you consider not cleaning a sword a rebuke on par with Lucy's eavesropping? :D Also, though we don't know what was said between Edmund and Aslan, it is possible he was rebuked.

You were right about one thing Peep: it has to with them as Aslan.

MrBob
I'm really strugglng with 12A. I can't think of anything to do with them and Aslan, beyond what I suggested already. Can you give any further clue?

That one was a very good one. Even when I read the hint I didn't get it. And I looked at the other and so far I can't think or anything. I'll keep trying.

11A. The first three are all appointed king/queen by Aslan in person. Rilian is not appointed by him in person, but he had told Caspian that whe he returned he would find Rilian waiting for him and that he was to be the next king.

Am I anywhere close?

Here's a new one of my own.

#29.
(a) “And from that second change there will be no return.”
(b) “If you’re thirsty, you may drink.”
(c) “It is others who must lead.”
(d) “They shall only see my back.”

Mr Fox, I don't think you're getting it. The questions have 4 items that have something in common, but one of them is different from the other 3 in some way. You are supposed to point out the different one and why. That one will be the odd-one-out.

i think ill re-read the question and the books again...

i get the point but its about figureing out the diffrence im almost ther only im not sure what it is...

i meant by....
the answer:
A is from the horse and his boy
B is from the silver chair
C is from the price caspin
D is not from any book..

right/wrong/close?

I think he may be on to something here. Now the we know where they come from, maybe we can figure out to whom He said them to and what was He addressing.

"10A. Caspian is named in a book title. The others are all referred to in a book title but are not named."

Correct Peep. All are title characters, but only Caspian is the named character. My choice 1 for that, Andrew nad Digory was a bit iffy for me, which is why I chose to concentrate on Digory only. This was a trivia question I had in the now-archived trivia thread and I felt that Magician's Nephew refers to Digory mainly, but another member stated that it was also referring to Andrew as well. While technically correct, the title character is specifically Digory, the nephew, not Andrew, the magician.

Two more that fit into the theme are Eustace in VotDt and Jill in TSC. Neither Polly nor Digory fits in. Shasta does, but Aravis doesn't.

By the way, I do want to make a change to my question after having a duh moment:

12A
1. Peter in LWW
2. Susan in LWW and PC
3. Edmund in LWW
4. Lucy in PC and VotDT

It was not "sort of" VotDT.

"11A has something to do with leaders or royals....
and all appeared in there own book but helen and frank did not...."

True mrfox. But somethign special happened to all of them. It didn't necessarily happen "during" their reign and it was nothing that any of them did.

Mr Bob

Was my answer anywhere close?
11A. The first three are all appointed king/queen by Aslan in person. Rilian is not appointed by him in person, but he had told Caspian that whe he returned he would find Rilian waiting for him and that he was to be the next king.

I think they all have private (one-to-one) conversations with Aslan, except for Susan who never does.
