I'd rather wait until 2008 to see them do it right then to have them rush a bad job out the door. I wonder if they're just hung up on a Christmas release date, or if it'll really take that long to do the effects.

Prince Caspian was bumped, I've been receive one e mail of Narnia Web:
Entertainment Weekly has an article outlining Walden Media’s plans for the future of the Chronicles of Narnia series of films. Here is the order given:

1. The Lion, the Witch & the Wardrobe (2005)
2. Prince Caspian (2008?)
3. Voyage of the Dawn Treader
4. The Silver Chair
5. The Magician’s Nephew
6. The Horse and His Boy
7. The Last Battle

The article also says that, according to Cary Granat (CEO, Walden), Prince Caspian may be bumped from 2007 to Christmas 2008 due to daunting effects demands. The article adds that Walden plans to use Prince Caspian, Voyage of the Dawn Treader, and The Silver Chair to create an interlocking trilogy that will be shot in order.

No official release dates have been announced for any of the upcoming films."
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
WE HAVE TO WAIT A LOT!!!!!!!!!!!!
WHAT DO YOU THINK AND HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT????
Oh my goodness you must be joking!!
2007 is like one more year to wait now we have to wait two years!!

I'm completely fine with waiting until 2008, and I'm glad they are making all three films at once. That means that the kids ages will be more realistic-looking, they're making sure they are doing a good job and not rushing it, and because it means the following two (VDT and SC) will be released sooner.

By the time Walden Media makes this movie I will be done my undergraduate degree at university  cont fair *humpf*

WARNING!Prince Caspian Bumped from 2007 to 2008!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

By the time the LAST BATTLE shows up, at my age I'm gonna be on MY LAST LEG. You guys are young, you can wait :)

if this is true (and im too lazy to read the few pages before hand) its bull! there is no way i can wait that long just to see P.C. id fridgin be 20 years old!

How are they able to do this? The actors (Skandar, William, and Anna) were ALREADY too old for their parts in LWW. Only Lucy was the right age. The longer they wait to film and release the next movies, the worse it'll be...

Remember, especially with a film heavy with computer graphics animation, there can be a big span between shooting and release. My understanding is that they're shooting as soon as possible, to keep the ages as close as they can. It's the layering in of the digital stuff that adds the time, but by then they (hopefully) have all the live footage shot.

Of course, it does complicate matters if they have to do any reshooting.

It's bad! I do not want to wait until 2008! With the "interlocking" shooting strategy for the next three films, can't they get a single one done by 2007? At least, if they shoot them all three now, will they release them -- bing, bang, boom -- in 2008, 2009 and 2010? What if I don't live to see The Last Battle?! I'm no spring chicken. :(

You may not be a spring chicken Inky, but its not like you're as old as POTW or Twinkles. :D Besides, I'm sure they'll release them one year after another. That is surprising though that they'd wait so long. I would think they'd want to be able to keep interest up for Prince Caspian. 3 years is a long time to keep interest going. although I suppose Star Wars did manage to do it.

edit: ok, while I was replying to this, I googled several release websites and they all still say Prince Caspian will be released December 14th, 2007. So I'd take this info with a grain of salt.
