Prince Caspian Movie 2008

LOL, onlymystory!

When I first heard about LWW movie, it was July, 2004, and the time until December, 2005 seemed to fly. If you keep posting here and stay up to date on the production news, you will always feel like PC is just around the corner.

2007 Release Date = Ingenious

I know I'm gonna get a lot of different comments about this, but I am saying it. So deal with it! Prince Caspian's Release Date works so good for society. It doesn't really conflict with anything. This is what I mean: This summer will mainly be covered by X-men the Last Stand, Pirates 2, Da Vinci Code, and Superman Returns. So that all packs one good punch so narnia (even if they could finish it that fast) wouldn't stand as good a chance. Now this winter the world will see the almight Eragon one of the best books i've read that's new. So that needs a chance, and shouldn't be messed with. Summer of 2007 is very huge. You have Spider-man 3 and, yes I said and, Harry Potter 5 will be out. Now how could you go up against the most famous comic book character, and the world's best selling book. So by Winter of 2007 nothing is taking up the glory. No Potter to compete with, so new blood that needs a chance, and no men in tights. Adamson you genius, we will see you in with December 2007 and then again in March 2008 for the Oscars. (i believe!!) Your thoughts about my philosophy?

that's probably one of the smartest things that i've heard anyone say on this forum! i also beleive it is coming out at a good time, i just can't wait for it!

meh, theres 2 years pretty much to go until december 2007, whose to say that only those movies that u listed are gonna be released over the next 2 years. for all we know, december 2007 could have an awesome line up of movies, little britain the movie lol. even if there were mega win movies comin out in december 2007, caspian would still dominate, i mean look at what lion witch and the wardrobe did, king kong and potter. :)

The problem with Harry Potter, is the books get larger they have to cut the movies shorter so we're not sitting for hours watching some wizard stuggle to kill this dark wizard!
Where with Narnia, it is perfect how they fit everything in, and its not too short of not too long!

I agree with you, Kate12whisper13. I like Harry Potter, and the Order of the Phoenix is the biggest of the Harry Potter books to date (and it wasn't my favorite). My favorites are 3 & 6. Yet, who really knows if something big is going to come out in the winter of 2007? That's a bit far off, even for movies to speculate about what will come out.

One thing is clear to me, good movies around the holidays are a great thing, they get one out of the house, away from the stress of shopping and gives people something relaxing to do. I go to more movies in the wintertime than in the summer, and because of the overall Narnia feel, something about a winter release does feel more real to me than any other time of the year.

The best argument I have for the speculated time of release, that they can really push the DVD sales on LWW, and they can really put the time into the film in order to get it perfect for release. Releasing it too soon makes for sloppy work, and then they will kick themselves saying 'we should have done it that way'. So, although it's going to be a wait, I'd rather do so and see something worth waiting for than to be disappointed.

Nice way to say it!! It will be a wait, but waiting for good quality instead of seeing something like "BEnji: Off The Leash" again will be a treat and worth the wait. I am excited to see PC when it comes out, though!!

that is a very good way of putting it. i can't wait for 681 days to go by but as i wait i can just watch LWW over and over again

Agree, with you there.
I will probably do alot of things around November/December for the coming of PC. I will probably have watched Narnia a million times, so I will read PC book again to understand it a bit better!

WARNING!Prince Caspian Bumped from 2007 to 2008!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can you believe it???
Prince Caspian was bumped, I've been receive one e mail of Narnia Web:
Entertainment Weekly has an article outlining Walden Media’s plans for the future of the Chronicles of Narnia series of films. Here is the order given:

1. The Lion, the Witch & the Wardrobe (2005)
2. Prince Caspian (2008?)
3. Voyage of the Dawn Treader
4. The Silver Chair
5. The Magician’s Nephew
6. The Horse and His Boy
7. The Last Battle

The article also says that, according to Cary Granat (CEO, Walden), Prince Caspian may be bumped from 2007 to Christmas 2008 due to daunting effects demands. The article adds that Walden plans to use Prince Caspian, Voyage of the Dawn Treader, and The Silver Chair to create an interlocking trilogy that will be shot in order.

No official release dates have been announced for any of the upcoming films."
