Johnny Depp would be great! But I want to save him to play Rabadash in Horse & His Boy, if he won't be too old. He would be great!

omg its a dream for me........

Does Anybody Know Anything At All About The Auditions For The Chronicles Of Narnia: Prince Caspian??????? It Would Be A Dream Come True For Me To Even Audition For A Movie Like This!!

I was thinking the same thing until I thought about it for a while.
Yes, the CGI would take awhile but I believe the main reason why the wait is so long is child labour laws.
Two of the main actors, Georgie and Skandar, are under 16 so there are laws permitting how many hours a child can work at a time, which would make the filming schedule longer.

The child labour laws are the main reason why so roles where a child is the main character they hire twins, since each child can make up the time that the other couldn't during filming. They did this with the Olsen twins playing one kid on 'Full House' ;)

Its takes a LONG time to make a Really good movie y'know.... Its not an easy job!!! Its really challenging!
They filmed all three Lord of The Rings movies, at the same time, and they all turned out great so the theory of time=better is not always true :D

I agree, but if u look at LWW's time span.....it was pretty long *emphasising the long*

I feel the same way, even though I know that it's a loooong process to get these kind of movies done. ;) If I had it my way it'd be out right now. :D

Pixar, perhaps?

Maybe they could speed it up if Pixar helped, even though they only make cartoons (and if you didn't know Disney bought Pixar a while ago)...But I can't wait till it comes out! :)

They really were not filmed at the same time.

There were often two to three film sections all operating at the same time (with sub-directors that reported to Peter Jackson). And some scenes were used in later movies.

They were actually all just made in a row. So it sort of looked like they were all filmed at the same time. (Some of the crew got a week off in between movies, most did not ;))

This was the first time for this to ever happen. Three major motion pictures in a row, so it was certainly a feat as it is.

And yes, they are excellent movies. Not as much depth as the books… but great movies.

Its 07,then.

Yeah!

maybe i wont see those pevensie's in action for a long time!
But thats ok!

I understand that the longer the preparation the more greater the result is!

p.s.Tnx for those who replied in my 1st post! They quite made me realize about it!

For the time being, i wont worry!
Because in this forum/web the spirit of Narnia is greatly present!it lives on!

I think that they should start filming VotDT a month after they finish filming PC. That way the characters won't be waaaaayyyy to old

they'll want to give a little more time than that. We don't want them to be too old true, but they have to at least appear a little older in between movies. And I think its ok to have Georgie and Skandar look more like teenagers or adults in VoDT because there is an emphasis on how childish Eustace is in comparison to the maturity of the others. So having a larger physical difference would probably help that and further enhance the idea that Narnian air makes you grow up faster.

oh, and on the LOTR note, it did take a long time. LWW was 6 months of principal photography. LOTR was 18 months of principal photography with hardly any breaks. And in between the releases, the actors have said they did probably another 2-3 months of new shots and redoing scenes. So an average of 7 months just for principal photography. Narnia seems to be right on track then. And as Austin said, LOTR had a lot of sub directors. Narnia only has one. (the assistant directors are not doing the same job as the sub directors of LOTR)

Yes, 2005 went so quickly, my school year was great but quick and soon my friends were leaving to High School!
This year will hopefully fly past, and so will next year. I am going to be so patience for this movie because it will be so good!

Yeah they spent about 3 years on that. Not including all the post production stuff from 2001-2003 when the films were released.

*sighs* such brilliant films though............

I personally thought that the best film in a long time was Gigli. It was just phenomenally acted, written, directed, and produced. It had everything. Truly a masterpiece.

(can you hear the sarcasm?)
