Saw "The Wrath of Khan" and "Search For Spock". Happy to say that the original Chekov is quickly becoming another favorite character for me. Idk if he's my 2nd fave or not, but I really like him. Idk why. Probably the accent. :p

Nice! Glad you're liking the originals!

I saw the new movie on DVD last night. It was pretty good. I like the new Scotty the best. Having Uhura as Spock's girl friend was kind of not good. It should have been Nurse Chapel.

I LOVED Scotty's friend. I could see all the girls fawning over him, and driving the engineer nuts! "Oh how adorable! What a cutie!" LOL

Space Seed and a Piece of the Action are two of my great favorites. :) Ricardo Montalban reprises the role of Khan in the movie "Wrath of Khan." He's awesome.

I'm beginning to find Chekov strangely attractive. O_O
...
Not a surprise, since most guys I like have that same general haircut, brunette hair, brown or hazel eyes, are from the 1960s/1970s, and not to mention the adorable accent. Though usually it's a British accent. But Russian accents are cute, too.

Saw the new movie tonight; it was sooo good! My parents (who grew up with the original version) said it was an excellent adaption and gave it 5 stars.:D

I don't know why but I like the Black Hole at the end. When they have to get out of it before they're torn to pieces (I like Black Holes o_O :p).
My parents recognized all the old charies "new versions" and had to pause it whenever a new one came up to remind me who it was in the old series (I've only seen one of the old movies).

I give it 4 stars.:D

Groovy. :D I love both the original series and the new movie, but I think if I HAD to choose, I'd pick the original series.

AWESOME website for Star Trek stuff: http://www.trekcore.com

Made screencaps of "A Piece of the Action" and "Journey to Babel" if anyone wants any. ^_^

My favorite series is Deep Space Nine, with Voyager a close second.

I never really liked the Captain Kirk era, it was a bit too cliched for me.

As for Enterprise, I never bothered watching it.

And for a laugh, look at this cartoon:
Star Trek: The Captains' Ball

I could never actually pick a favorite episode, although the Voyager ones with the kid Borgs and dealing with the Borg (through Seven of Nine) were quite interesting, given that we've never learned much about them, because they're the enemy. Species 8472 was also another favorite of mine, as were the Jem'Hadar.

There's a Star Trek multiplayer online game which starts on Febuary 1st or 2nd (I can't remember which) that may be interesting to try.

According to the limited information I have, it's set 25 years after the Next Generation/Deep Space Nine/Voyager era, where relations between the Federation and Klingon empire have broken down.

It's that last part that concerns me somewhat. During my limited time in the game Tabula Rasa, I observed how rabid PvP (Player Vs Player) fanatics can ruin a game, simply through abusive behavior and other forms of harrassment. And Tabula Rasa was a primarily PvE (Player Vs Environment) game.

This Federation/Klingon schism is designed to draw in PvP players, which although not a bad thing in itself, can attract a whole number of undesirable players.

Which is one reason why I'm hesitant to rate this game highly yet.

The others, well, I'm reserving judgement until I actually play the game.

I've had bad experiences in the past, where I tried a game out of curiosity that looked good (in videos), but the gameplay engine was terrible.

Therefore, no game is approved until I've played it for about a week (the bad ones don't even hold my interest for half a day, a hour if they're really terrible). If I still like the game after that, I stick with it.

I finally saw the "Trouble With The Tribbles" episode the other day and also the movie Star Trek: The Voyage Home. I adored both. I found the Voyage Home very funny. :p I made screencaps. I also made screencaps of "A Piece of the Action" and "Journey To Babel", if I didn't mention that already.
As of now, I have 1,905 pictures from Star Trek. 1,341 of those are just from the Original Series alone, 523 from the 2009 film, and 41 in Miscellaneous (which includes new and old comparisons, Star Trek flair and other random Star Trek stuff that doesn't fall into the other categories). Again, if anyone would like any of these screencaps, just PM me. :)

You should get the Deep Space Nine episode that revisits the "Trouble with Tribbles" now -- they are very funny to watch together. :)

So glad you're enjoying being a trekkie!

Actually, I have. :) I got a DVD collection Fan Set containing episodes from The Original Series, Next Generation and Deep Space 9 with Klingons in them. It happened to include both "The Trouble With The Tribbles" and the DS9 episode that revisits it. :)

Oh, cool! I love those two episodes together. ToS Trouble with Tribbles is just so funny, Spokc is cracking wise all the time ... "He simply could not believe his ears." Hoo-ha.

I'm playing the Star Trek theme in band this semester, and the band director has no idea what the ominous section called "The Klingits" or "The Klaxons" or something like beginning with k is about. I'm not a Trekkie, so I don't know either, but I'm curious. Can anybody explain?

Maybe it's "Klingons"....
