^Nice. If you had been really nerdy, you would have gotten out the paint and detailed it. :p j/k. Unless it melted, then it would be next to impossible!

Yeah, you say that, but you might think otherwise if you knew how long it took for me to get the N-cells to stay attached to the thing! xD Painting it would've been near impossible if I'd wanted it to stay together.:p

I got a red Star Trek crew shirt for Christmas. Isn't red the color of the folks who get killed off?

I have always liked The Undiscovered Country, but my favorite for soundtracks would have to be number IV. And yes, being a redshirt is very dangerous. Not even Scotty was exempt from being killed(and then later resurrected)

Undiscovered Country has a lot of really funny lines in it, and I love Christopher Plummer, so his mad character is particularly cool in that one.

What was the deal with the shirts, anyway? Scottie wears a red shirt often, but he is an engineer. The red shirts who die on away team missions are usually just scurity officers. I know a gold shirt is command, and blue is science, but what is red? Disposable?

Red was denoted for security/engineering personnel, but then was turned around in Next Gen to switch places with the gold/yellow uniform [later followed by DS9 and then Voyager] But if you notice, in some episodes of TOS, Kirk is wearing a green [not blue] shirt, with the Starfleet arrowhead/insignia turned sideways on his stomach. Believe me, I'm still trying to figure that out. The best Trek soundtrack belongs to First Contact, I think.

....Now don't take this the wrong way, the score to First Contact is not the best Trek score IMO, there is too much dark suspenseful (and forgettable) horror material to make it that, The best score in my opinion is Trek III, or Trek I, maybe even V, Shore Leave, or Amok Time.

EDITED.

Which are all movies that the majority of Trek fans dislike the most. Though, I don't think I've seen the TOS episodes Shore Leave or Amok Time, so I dunno about those. But all of the odd movies of Trek are considered the worst movies [the majority of fans prefer 2, 4, 6, and 8 (First Contact), but not any of the odd numbered movies]. I personally prefer not to remember my movie watching experience regarding all of the movies aside from 2, 4, 6, and 8...and maybe 10. The jury is still out for me on whether I liked Nemesis or not.

And your opinion isn't concrete, FYI. The way you say it, it makes it sound like you're the final authority on which score is the best, and it's mostly a matter of opinion/taste. Or at least, that's my opinion on opinions.

But if a movie is bad, it will drown out the music. I don't hear anyone exclaiming over the "great scores" of the Star Wars prequels because they were horrible films. In the end, film scores don't count because not many people pay attention to the music, they're paying attention to the acting and dialogue. If the latter two are horrible, ten to one they won't pay attention to the music in the background.

Well the Expanded/Complete score to Star Trek V was released in 2010 as a limited release of 5000 units

Now, its sold out.

And alot of people scour Star Wars video games for the complete scores for the prequels, especially the (massive amount of) unused material for the Battle of Naboo (TPM)

I agree with AK. While some particularly erudite people with real ears for music may focus on the score, most people won't remember the score if the movie was bad.

What makes a movie "bad"? I mean, Jurassic Park is accused of having weak human characters, yet quite a few people adore the score, same with films like the Back to the Future films, the Indiana Jones films (Raiders excluded), and Star Trek II (some people find the Starship battles tedious and boring), this really doesnt have anything to do with whether the score is bad or not, and is your opinion.

Personally, I think you're finding all the exceptions instead of the rule. Troy (2004) has a fairly decent score, but I've heard nobody exclaim over it because the movie itself pretty much flopped [and I know why; it had Brad Pitt in it  ]. And in reality, this argument is quite pointless, as I've said multiple times how it boils down to opinion.

About Troy, people prefer the Yared score, and hate the Horner score, because of him bashing and badmouthing Yared
