The Chronicles of Narnia: The Restored Kingdom

Interuption on the Plains of Baruna:

The sudden upset made by the horse and It's rider caused both King Caspian's horse and Drinian's steed to rise up on there hind legs and neigh. Starstorm came to a hault with ease and held her hand on the hilt of her sword preparing to draw it. King Caspian eyed the stranger and it's steed. Then suddenly the horse began to speak and the rider was revealed to be a young lady. Caspian held unto his reins tight and listened as they introduced themselves. Although a lot had been on the king's mind, this sudden interuption had his full attention, as well as the Lord Drinian's and Starstrom's attention. After the noble Narnian steed had announced their names and mentioned their business, Caspian responded "I'm afraid that I don't really need anymore aid at present.." But as he said this Caspian noticed that Lenia eyes began to downcast and her face began to look rather grim.

As for the rider she began to look rather releived, but it would be cut short for Caspian then said "On the other hand.. how could I pass up an offer from such a noble steed?" . Then Caspian turned his gaze from Liena to Avalon and asked "You.. Avalon is it.. have we met before?" "You look familar.."

Flattery and Nervousness

It was true that at first Lenia felt a little let down by the initial rejection of her offer for help. But the expression on Lenia's face changed when he accepted, and flattered her all at the same time. "Thank you." Avalon let out a small nervous laugh, "What have you done?" she whispered harshly into Lenia's ear. "Think of it as a way to repay the King for taking me." Lenia whispered back. "Repay...? I was going to reutur--" Avalon stopped when she noticed Caspian looking dead at her. She glanced around and realized that he was addressing her, of course he had spoken her name but it didn't register in her brain at first.

"Oh yes, it's Avalon." she said quickly shading the brightness of the sun with her hand, so she could see Caspian properly. "I don't believe we have met directly sire," She dropped her hand back down so she could hold onto Lenia. "I have seen you around of course." she said in a rather nervous tone, obviously she knew the face of the King but when speaking to someone of such a high power can cause people to say foolish obvious things. "But, my father is a soldier so perhaps you see a little of him in me."

Starstrom held her hand on her Sword hilt ready to draw it at any time From what she could tell this Avalon was not a threat and she had a talking horse so she was a friend of Narnia

Glenstorm Starstorm you think we should trust her

Starstorm looked at her father I think we can Father she seems harmless but a little skittish.

The Confrontation:

Caspian pondered for a moment over what Avalon said. He then after a pause said "Prehapes that is it.." "Prehapes it was your father I'm remebering." "Anyways now is not the time to discuss it, we must be off at once.." "I plan to expose the identity of this imposter before nightfall." the with quick kick abd oull of the riens Caspian lead the company over plains of Burna. They passed through forest before reaching the norther plains and in the distance they could see the bright silver castle. The sun made it sparkle and even though it was still at a great distance you could see the blue banners flickering in the wind. Caspian was now ahead of the others, with the Lord Drinian close behiend him. Starstorm kept up at a good pace, while Avalon and Lina fallowed up the rear.

With each gallop they came closer to the castle. Before long they were almsot at the main gate were they saw two gaurds standing with large spears. Caspian made at once for the gate and shouted "Open up!" The gaurds startled a bit scrambled and shouted inside to open up. The Gate was opened just in time for Caspian t odart through and make his way through the first stretch of buldings. As everyone passed through the gate, the gaurds had stared at each other with a rather bewildered look. Caspian swiftly made his way to the higher levels leaving the rest of hsi company in the dust. His mind was bent on reaching his chambers and exposing this look a like. He was so fixated on his goal that he took no notice of anything else.

At the higher levels of the castle Caspius stood on a balcony, pondering his plote and his goal. Suddenly he heard the noise of trumpets and the louds shouts of "The king has returned and so has the Lord Drinian." For a moment Caspius paniced. But as he returned inside he at once headed for one of the passageways to his left. a commotion could be heard throughout the castle, King Caspian was making his way up the long stair case were in one of grand halls he caught the sight of a figure swiftly moving down a seperate stair case, Caspian darted and headed down the stair case in prosute. Caspius was now in hall full of doors, he tried each one hoping to find a palce to hide. Alas one opened, but nto before Caspian had made it into the hall. Caspius looked around the room and istantly headed for the baclony. But suddenly he stopped in his tracks and looked about the room.

Setting his eyes upon a book case, he imediatly began pullnig boosk off the shelvbes. Tel lat last he saw red book named 'Narnian History Vol 7' and grabbed it. Suddenly the bookcase moved over to the side and revealed a secret passageway that lead to another spiraling stair case. Caspian bursted through the door and looked around the room. He stepped out onto the balcony and as he stodo there he saw the Imposter fleeing through the courtyard. Caspian at once turned and saw all the books laying on the floor. He grabbed the read book and pulled it towards him and headed through the secret passageway and down the spiral staircase. Caspius was running franticly trying to avoid anyone he could. Some gaurds approched him and said "My king why do you flee?" Caspius panting and somewhat out of breat said "There is an imposter in the castle.. he is trying to kill me!"

The Guards imediatly looked alarmed and asked "Where did youl ast see him your majesty?" Caspius turned and point in the direction he had come. Imediatly King Caspian came into the light running towards their position. The two Gaurds rushed towards Caspian and detained him with their strong arms. "What are you doing?" "That's the the imposter!" shouted Caspian as he pointed at Caspius. The Gaurd chuckled "Yeah right.. nice try" Caspian fussing and squirming said "You fools.. lute me go I am the king.." Caspius turned as he walked away and looking over his shoulder he gave Caspian a horrible glare. As more Gaurds rushed to detain Caspian, Caspius darted for the stables. Putting up a good fight Caspian finally broke free and drew his sword. He rushed the oncomnig gaurds and quickly disposed of them without killing them or cuasing them great injury.

Caspius had already made it to the stable and mounted when Caspian came bursting in. Holding his blade firmly erect King Caspian shouted "Hault!" Caspius didn't heed the knig's word and began encourging his horse to move foward in Caspian's direction. Caspian uttered again "Hault I say!" Caspius again ignored his command and drew his sword. Then with a kick of his heels he caused the horse to start into a gallop towards Caspian's postion. Caspian made ready, noting moving a step from where he stood. Alas Caspius and his steed came thundering towards Caspian almost tramping him. Caspian swung strongly hitting Caspius's blade. The clang of the steel echoed as Caspian laid in heep of hay. Caspius rode out into the main streets and continue in firm gallop tell he reached the eastern gate. There he he flew pass the gaurds with great speed and out into the open.

While Caspius fleed to the woodland, Caspian arose to his feet and exited the stables. A group of about twelve gaurds surronded him with pikes pointed at him. But before they could do anything the Lord Drinian on horse book interupted and said "Lay down your arms in the presence of the king!" The gaurds delayed and stayed in their positions with their pikes pointed at Caspian. "I will say again lay down your arms!" Again nothing happened. Drinian then dismounting said as he pushed aside gaurd and entered the circle with Caspian "I order you to lay down your arms at once!" At this the gaurds obeyed and pointed their pikes upward. Drinian turned to Caspian and asked "Are you alright your majesty?" Caspian eyed Drinian with paticular look and said "Yes,, Lord Drinian I am fine.." "However the Imposter has escaped and my own gaurd nearly knocked me out." Lord Drinian said "Well it is over now my king.." "Shall we retire inside?" Caspian nodded and headed back through thr courtyard with Drinian behiend him.

Inside Caspian headed for his chambers were he found many things misplaced or missing. Looking at his collection of books and schrolls Caspian said "He sure did study a lot during my absence.." Drinian helping Caspian search his belongs said "It seems he was greatly interested in charts and skematics of the castle and the surronding walls." Caspian said "Aye.." Then he remembered the Imposter's escape and how he had found the hidden passageway. Holding a schroll Caspian said "He wanted to know all the ways in and out of the caste.." Drinian looked at Caspian and asked "Why?" Caspian replied "I'm not sure..other than he obviously wanted to know how to escape with haste." Caspian walked over to the other side of the room and began to ponder.

Then after moment in silence Caspian uttered "Who is this look alike.. this imposter that could fool my gaurds into believeing he was me?" Lord Drinian answered "THe greater question my king is.. how many other have been poisened by his deception?" "How many more believe him to be you?" Caspian turned to face Drinian. "I don't recall anyone who even bares the slightest resemblence of me.." "Yet this stranger..this Imposter bares my likness in almost every way" Drinian spoke up after a pause and said "Is it possible he has come from the World beyond?" Caspian nodded and said "Possible yes.. but how exactly?" King Caspian and the Lord Drinian continued to discuss they're theories or possible explanations of how the Imposter might have come from another realm. But in the end it only left them with more questions and very few answers.

A Secret Meeting:

A night prior to return of the King and flight of the Imposter a rather stout dwarf carrying lite lantern headed into the deep chambers of the castle. His hair was red like scarlet and his complexion was fair. As he made his way through the halls he finally reached some private chambers. There he swayed his latenr about looking for the right room. Finally he found it. With his free hand he turned the nobe slowly and entered the room. THel ight from his latern casted golden glow that illuminated the room. There standing only two feet tall was a mouse. THe mouse would have looked like any ordinary mouse if he hadn't been on his hind legs and holding sternly a small rapier. Some other features to mention about this mouse was that he had feather curled around his ear and that hostered around his lower torso was a fine belt with scubbard attatched.

The Dwarf put the latern on a nearby table and then said breaking the silence "Thank you for coming Reepicheep.. I know the hour is late" The mouse with great expression repiled "You said it was urgent and important that I come.. so don't be surpised that I am here" "I merely am keeping my promise.. as all god knights of Narnia do.." The Dwarf then said in low voice "Where is Trufflehunter?" "I asked him to this secret meeting too.." Reepicheep responed "He said he would come, but that he would be late.." "I told him if he was going to be late.. that he shouldn't come.." The Dwarf looked a little angered and said "You said what?!" "I wanted Trufflehunter here because he is our friend and a trustworthy one at that." Reepicheep replied "Calm yourself Trumpkin.. I merely suggested he not come" "For as you know we knights don't think good of folk who come in late.." "It's not corteous to others.."

Trumpkin rolled his eyes and said "Now Reepicheep Trufflehunter is a busy badger.. he can't always make it on time.." "So show him some mercy.." Reepciheep sighed and said "Very well..if I must." After nearly a half of an hour there was nock at the door. Reepicheep ready his blade, while Trumpkin whisper as he cracked the door "What's the password?" The voice was a rather scruffy one that seemed annoyed "password?" "Eh is it Hail Aslan and Kings and Queens of old?" Trumpkin sighed and said "No.." The voice was silent for a moment. "Oh I know.. password.." Again Trumpkin sighed and said "no wrong again.." The vocie annoyed and tad angry said "Oh open up Trumpkin or should I have to sit on your head again!" Trumpkin smiled and opened the door "Come in my good friend."

Now entered a all black with white strips badger like a scunck. He didn't walk on all four but stood on his hind legs and walked like humans do. He approached Reepicheep and said "Your directions were horrible.." "I nearly woke somone up because I want down the wrong hall and in the wrong door." Reepicheep sneared a little and said "It's not my fault you read the directions wrong." Trufflehunter glared at the mouse and responded "I din't read them wrong.. you wrote them wrong" Reepicheep stepped closer to Trufflehunter ready to unsheath his sword and said "Are you calling me liar?" Trumpkin stepping between them said "Calm down you two.." "You can argue later.. but for now lute us begin are meeting."

Trufflehunter to a seat, while Trumpkin and Reepicheep remained standing. "I am sure you are curious to why I have called you here..in secret..tonight" "So sparing you chit chat I shall address the current issue." "For the past two days I have met with and observed are King." "During that time I have realized that something isn't right.." "That are king doesn't seem himself." Trufflehunter interjects "Do you think he is ill?" Trumpkin shaking his head said "No he is not ill.. at least not physically." Reepciheep interupts "So you mean to say he is ill mentally?" "Is that what you are trying to say Trumpkin?" Trumpkin shook his head again "No.." "There is something wrong with his coutanace." "He doesn't seem..well he doesn't seem to be like are king at all.." Both Reepicheep and Trufflhunter looked at Trumpkin oddly. They then both said "Then whom does seem like?"

Trumpkin with deep breath said "Well..his characteristics seem like that of Miraz." Trufflhunter rose from his chair at Trumpkin's word and Reepicheep spouted "Miraz! How could you compare his majesty to that swine?" Trumpkin singnaling with his hands for them to lower their vocies said "I don't mean disrepect to our king..but I do not believe this man to be are king.." Trufflehunter stayed silent while Reepciheep said "What do you mean Trumpkin?" "You make no sense" Trumpkin with another deep breath said "I believe this look alike to are king is an imposter.." Reepicheep drew his sword and uttered "Imposter!" "What proof have you?" Trumpkin lowered his eyes and uttered "None..." Reepicheep with cold remark said "Then why do you accuse are beloved king to be an imposter and call this secret meeting against him.." Trufflhunter finally spoke up "Calm yourself Reepicheep.. lute Trumpkin finish.."

Reepicheep withheld his words and allowed Trumpkin to continue. "I don't have proof at present..all I have is feeling in my gut" "And It's telling me that the telmarine sitting on the throne isn't King Caspian X.. but an imposter." The room was silent for a moment them Trufflehunter spoke. "I will share that you are not alone Trumpkin in your feelings.." "I have though the King's behavior to be pacuilar and that there wasn't something quite right about him.." "I at first disregarded it as merely a feeling..but now I know it is more." "For out of the mouth of two or more witnesses comes forth the truth..
" Reepicheep spoke up this time in a different tone "I will admit I felt something.. but I thought it was just gitters" "You see I haven't been given the duty of the night watch lately.. which is great honor for me and my kindred.. but when it was given to me by the king early yesterday morning I got the gittering feeling." "And I for one have never been gttery or afraid..ha I laugh in the face of fear.." said Reepicheep

Trumpkin with releif said "Well I'm glad I'm not alone.." Trufflehunter and Reepicheep both asked "Agreed." They then both asked "So what are we to do now?" Trumpkin lower his eyes abit replied "I wish to meet with Lord Valorim.." Trufflehunter spouted "A telmarine?" Trumpkin replied "Yes a telmarine.." Reepicheep as conserned as Trufflehunter asked "Is he to be trusted?" Trumpkin replied with solmn look "I think so.." Reepicheep inteupted yet again "You think so?" "What if he is inleage with this Imposter?" "He could expose us and have us put in prision.. maybe even have us hanged for treason.." Trumpkin eyeing Reepicheep said "I don't know if he can be trusted.. but I do know that he is an honest man." "And besides I have a good feeling about him.." Reepicheep sighed and said "You and your feelings.." "I hope that you are right dwarf.. otherwise we all may pay dearly for your feelings.."

Glenstorm and Starstorm came to the secret meeting but waited outside until Caspian told them to come in.

Starstorm looked at her father and drew her sword "We should go a find this impostor ourself dad he is threat to King Caspian we can't let him live"

Glenstorm held his hand over his daughters weapon "Starstorm stay your weapon and control your temper. we won't attack until His majesty tells us to I know you swore to protect him Starstorm. But we should not act aginst the king's orders or outside of them lets stay here and keep watch why his majesty has the meeting we won't go in cause i don't recall him inviting us in."

Still father we should track this person Caspious and Quesion him about it and try to get somthing out of him"

Glenstorm chided his daughter again"Starstorm don't make me tell you again we will wait for his majesty's orders understood.

"Yes Father" Starstorm sighed

Follow that Rider!

Avalon and Lenia arrived back at the castle and waited outside of the stables as Caspian and Drinian headed inside. In order to keep her face form being seen Avalon pulled the hood back over her head, "Why are you hiding? Or who are you hiding from?" Lenia asked.

"I don't want my parents to see me if they happen to be around. Or anybody who knows my parents. I'm not ready to go home yet, they won't understand how I want to help Caspian. They'll just tell me to leave it to the soldiers."

Lenia chuckled, "How you want to help Caspian? Since when did you have a change in heart?"

Avalon cleared her throat and shifted uncomfortably on the saddle, "Well, I suppose it means a lot to you and I figured that--"

"And since when have you been so charing toward us Narnians? I remember you went on and on for at least an hour about how much you disliked us." Lenia noted.

"Why are you suddenly attacking me I may have said--" Before Avalon could finish her sentence a rider whipped passed them coming out of the stable. It surprised Lenia causing her to rear back, "What was that?"

"I think that was the King." Lenia said starring after the rider. They watched him head toward the gate, "It does look like the King." Avalon noted.

"But what is he running from?" Lenia trotted forward a little.

"Only one way to find out." Avalon dug her heels into Lenia who instinctively bolted forward. "Let's follow him."

"I don't know Avalon, where is Lord Drinian? Wouldn't he have been with him?" regardless of her doubts, Lenia galloped after what they both believed to be the King but was in reality the impostor Caspius.

Starstorom turned to go after caspious but Glenstorm stopped her

Starstorm your duty is to protect caspian i will trace Lenia and Avalon and Caspious you stay here your duty is to protect him my daughter.

Starstorm nodded Yes Father and she reuturnred to her post outside his room

Being Fallowed:

Caspius riding on his steed made his way over the plains and for the woodland. THere he hoped both to be hidden a while and to think of what to do next. His plans had suddenly changed and now his identity being exposed it would be more difficulty to ensure him taking the throne. Under the shadow of the tall trees he dismounted. He looked both very nervious and little weary. At any moment soldiers could come for him and prehapes even the Knig himself. Finally Caspius made a decision. He re-mounted his horse and began galloping further into the wood. As he made his way into the deep depths of the forest he found that he was alone. He could hear the sound of hooves pattering behiend him. Trying to shake this stalker, he curverd around wide and large trees trying to confuse his prasuer.

However it didn't seem to work and still has he pressed on he could her soft pitter patter of hooves not far behiend him. At last he stopped on one of the trails and dismounted. Tying the horse to nearby tree, he moved into postion behiend a rather bulky and old oak. There he unsheathed his sword and stood ready. He could hear the sound the of pitter patter of hooves getting closer and closer. Before long he heard the sound of voices. They weren't gruff like a soldier's or elegant like a lord or King, they were soft and gentler. They were the voices of the lady sort. But despite this knowledge Caspius stayed hidden with his blade drawn. The pitter patter of the hooves had stopped and he could here both of them talking. Caspius quietly began to move around the tree pointing his blade in a striknig position.

It mattered not to him that they maybe ladies, to him in that moment they were a possibler threat. Quickly he revealed himself and swooped behiend what he now saw was young lady on a medium build horse. He kicked the horse in the leg knocking the rider off and then with quick manuver stood over the young lady with the tip of his sword at her neck. He eyed her with a glare and then uttered "Why are you fallowing me?"

Abandoned

Avalon and Lenia rode hard after who they believed to be King Caspian. When they entered the woods Lenia did her best to keep up with his evasive maneuvers. "Avalon!" she gasped, "I'm not so sure this is the King." Avalon didn't hear Lenia's voice of reasoning and urged her to go forward. When they lost sight of him Lenia slowed to medium gallop, "Where'd he go?" Avalon muttered. "You majesty?" she called out.

"Avalon be quiet, I don't thi--" before Lenia could finish her sentence, they were attacked. It all happened so fast, Avalon was knocked off Lenia's back and landed hard on the forest floor below, her hood knocked off. In fright and without thought Lenia galloped off in the other direction, leaving her rider behind.

"Lenia?" Avalon groaned as she tried to sit up, but the sharp point of a sword stopped her from moving even an inch. She starred at the gleaming blade for a second before looking up at it's owner. It was King Caspian, wasn't it or was Lenia right in thinking it wasn't him. Avalon smiled nervously, "Your majesty, King Caspian? It's me Avalon." she said slowly.

Glenstorm told his daughter to stay where she was.
"Stay with Caspian Starstorm He might need your help now more then this girl. i am just going to follow after this impostor and see if maybe we can find out more what he has in mind Stay with Caspian and be patient Glenstorm nodded quietly and took off keeping to the woods trying to cover his tracks.

Starstorm walked around outside the castle Hoping that Lord Drinan and His majesty was okay

A Shroud of Lies:

Caspius holding his blade steadly at Avalon's neck eyed her with pacular look and said "I don't recall meeting you.." But after he said this he changed his mind and said making his first response void "Oh Avalon.. I apologize.. I didn't recongnize you right away" "My mind is still clouded and confused by my thoughts of this Imposter.." Caspius now withdrew his sword and with his left hand he helped Avalon up. "Forgive me..if I caused you any harm.." "I never ment to do such a thing." Then looking Avalon clear i nthe eye he quessed what was on her mind. "You are probably wondering why I have fled to these woods and why I am not back at the castle.." Avalon seemed to nod at his guess, confirming that she indeed was curious to why he had come to the woodland.

"The truth is Avalon.. this Imposter has decieved my loyalist subjects.." "He has turned even the Lord Drinian against me.." "If I hadn't fled.. he would have taken my life.." Caspius continued to feed Avalon spoon filled lies that acted like poisen and seeped deep within the heart. You can have mistaken it for magic or an enchantment but in truth is was just power deception and the charisma of teller. After he had made all his explanations to Avalon he said "Now Avalon.. shall you come with me and join me in my flight?" "I seek to gather the faithful and hopefully retake my throne and bring an end to this usuper.. this Imposter" Caspius waited for a response and hopped his guile had been strong and that his words had convinced the young lady.

Glenstorm stopped when he heard Voices he ducked behind a tree but kept a ear to see if he could here what caspious plans are. He listened intently and kept a eye on Avalon to be sure she was safe.

He held his sword to his side but didn't move to attack he told starstorm to be patient but he needed to be as well.

A Well Devised Plan:

Caspian and the Lord Drinian continued to talk for sometime, leaving Starstorm in hall in waiting. "What do you wish to do your highness?" "Do you wish me to assemble your royal guard and send them to capture this Imposter?" Caspian shook his head and said "No.. that won't do.." "If The Imposter has indeed poisened other minds into believeing him to be me, he will have already enough telmarines and narnians in arms to overtake my gaurds" "No we shall have to at present.. do nothing.." Drinian looked at Caspian oddly and said "But my king.. the longer he is allowed to roam free, the more he will rally to his side.." Caspian sighed and responded "Yes I know.. but we have no other choice.." "We are safe behiend these fortified walls and besides he didn't learn the secret tunnels and strengths of the castle to just escape.. he learned them because he plans to return and siege the castle"

The Lord Drinian listening to the King's wisdom agreed to not send any troops after the Imposter. Then after a pause Drinian asked "What then my king do you plan to do.. if you do not plan to prosue?" Caspian walked over to the map of castle and laid his hand upon it. "We shall fortify the castle at the main gate, seal the western gate and passages and leave the eastern gate open.." the lord Drinian looked at Caspian oddly again and said "You mean to lute them in?" Caspian shook his head "No I plan to draw them in and enclose them in the sqaure.." Caspian turning to look Drinian in the eye said "I do nto wish to shed the blood of my people and my fellwo narnians.." "Thus I shall lure them into a cage like a bird and capture them. Drinian with a frown said "And if that fails?" Caspian with a downcast look replied "Then I fear.. I shall be like my ancestors and be responsible for the further shedding of Narnian blood.."

Both the King and Lord Drinian looked grim as they finished their planning. Caspian turning to face the balcony said "I would like to have moment alone.." Drinian with bow respectfully exited the King's chambers and entered the hall were he saw Starstorm ancy. Lord Drinian appoached Starstorm and asked "How long have you been waiting noble centauress?" "And where is your father Glenstorm?"

no to long Lord Drinain Just wondering what to do about this impostor we can't let him loose in Narnia the more Narnaian blood we spill the sadder it will be"

Starstorm got chocked up thinking about all her fellow Centaurs that lost there life in the Castle Raid. "I dont want more blood to be shed then has to be my lord"........ Starstorm trailed off wiping tears away. As she had a flashback of the minatuour holding the gate letting everyone escape and looking back when the rest ridden back to the how. Seeing how many Narnians loss there life with arrows in them that night. She tried to compose herself.

"My Father went out following The impostor to the wood to check on the young Girl Avalon and her talking horse what is the Kings plan My Lord Drininan. My Father told me to stay here and keep watch over his majesty and the castle"

Comforting Words:

The Lord Drinian seemed grave and didn't know how to comfort the yonug cnetauress. He also was distubed by the news that her father Glenstorm had goen after the Imposter. The Lord drinian remained silent while Starstorm whipepd tears from her eyes. It was hard to come up with any good comferting words. Alas Drinian said "Don't loose heart.. young centauress" "Things might very well work out in the end" "The King plans to lure the Imposter and fellow narnians and telmarines into the eastern gate" "There they will be contained and hopefully there won't be any shedding of blood.."

When Drinian said this he tried to smile, but it was obvious in his expression that he didn't completely believe his own words. Taking Starstorm's hand he said "But regardless what happens.. don't loose hope.." "For prehapes the Great lion shall return to sto pthe efusion of blood or aid us in the fight against this Imposter." When Drinian said this he did not know that his words were fotelling what would come to pass, that he indeed was prophecying. But which waas true? Was Aslan going to come in the nick of time and stop the blodo shed from beginning or would he aid them against the Imposter. For that you shall have to wait and see...

Fooled

Avalon hesitantly took the "King's" hand, she brushed herself off she gave a half smile, it sure looked like Caspian then again she never did get a good look at the King. For the most part Avalon had only seen the King from a distance in a crowd, the closest she had ever been to the King was back on the plains. Even then she had to shield her eyes from the glare of the sun to get a look at him. After hearing his story, it had to be true right? "I'm fine don't worry, although Lenia seems to have been scared off. I hope she's alright." she said turning her head in the direction the horse ran.

"That's terrible." she said after hearing his story, Avalon stood there for a minute thinking. "I think I believe you." she let out a tiny laugh, "Lenia thought you might be the impostor. But I mean, if you were the impostor you would have killed me right?" she looked over her shoulder again, "I really hope Lenia is alright." Avalon looked at Caspius bowed her head a little, "I'd be glad to help in any way I can your majesty."

A Meeting in the Woods:

Caspius smiled as he held Avalon's hand and hearing that she believed him made him smile even more. Lutting go of her hand he said "Now come..my lady we must find your horse and rally troops at once." Caspius untied his horse from the tree and mounted. Then holding his hand out he helped Avalon up and seated her behiend him. Then with a quick rustle of the reins and kick with his stirrups.. the horse bolted down the trail that Lenia had thundered away on. The ride was rather plesant, the trees waved in the wind and the trail became littered with leaves that fell from high branchs. It wasn't long tell ahead on the trail they could see the figure of a horse. Telling Avalon to hold on, Caspius gave his steed another kick.. encouraging it to gallop at a greater pace.

Soon they could see the horse clearly, it was being handled by a unkown figure that looked like a man but.. not exactly like a man. The figure had long ears, goat-like legs and horns that crowned his head. Caspius began to slow his noble steed from gallop down to a trot. The Figure which was obviously a faun peered at them and then bowed saying "Your majesty.." Caspius holding the riens frmly brought the horse to a complete stop. "State your name and business faun.." said Caspius. The Faun replied humbly "I am Folin.. we haven't exactly met.. but I saw you at the village of Archen riding the noble steed Midnight" "As for my business.. I saw this fine and noble narnian steed fleeing on the trail at a dangerious pace.." "I then attempted to stop and calm her.."

Avalon seemed to recognize the steed from the way she leaned over the back of Caspius' horse. Caspius noticed that the back right hind leg of the horse was bruised and that it seemed to limp when the horse moved a bit. By this observation he knew it was the horse they were looking for.
