Black Mask was staring out the window before him. It was pouring down raining, the sky was dark. He watched the people on the streets. A man came up behind him. "Did you send out the list?" Black Mask asked in a gruff voice.
"The list has been copied and sent to all of our men."
"You mean my men?" Black mask corrected.
"Yes. Your men."
"Carl, don't ever think your equal to me. I'm in a much higher class of criminal than you. Your just a mere thug, I'm the Lord of Crime...of Death...of Tourment."
Carl shook his head nervously. "How long do we have?"
"I want them all dead by the end of this week. Everyone of them is an enemy. Gordon has interfeared too many times, as does several other policemen. Selina knows about us. Since she left our group, I can't risk her giving away our location if captured. And Bruce..." Black Mask stopped talking and clenched his fists.
Carl watched as Black Mask growled in anger. He hated Bruce ever since he was a child. After a minute passed he finnally spoke up. "Hey boss."
"WHAT!" Black Mask growled.
"What about...Batman? Why isnt he on the list? Isnt he the biggest threat of all?"
Black Mask laughed. "So, your afraid of the Bat? I've encountered the winged freak only once, I don't fear him. The police are after him. Every day the Dark Knight lives more like us, acts more like us. Alone, on the run from the cops, breaking the law to do what he desires. Sooner or later he will become the criminal he had hoped to destroy. But he is of no importance to me, yet. He's just a costumed lunatic that dresses up as bat, he'll probably end up in Arkam with the rest of them. Soon, when all of the gotham knights are destroyed or in hiding, I will unleash my full fury on the city. The people will know the true meaning of fear and suffering. This is my city."
