The Insane Asylum II

A contribution from English poetic history:

"Taffy was a Welshman, Taffy was a thief;
Taffy came to my house and stole a leg of beef;
I went to Taffy's house and Taffy was in bed;
So I picked up the Gerry pot and hit him on the head."

I could offer a commentary on the literary merits of this work but will save it for the Socratic Club.

That's because you can't "see" a difference. Difference is an abstract concept. Sorry, everyone. You'll have to figure out the difference using things like thought, intuition, and emotion.

me: No.
Caspian: OUR SOVEREIGN HAS SPOKEN! ALL HAIL THE OWNER OF THE MIGHTY TRANSLATOR!
Frodo: HAIL!
Dorthy:.... Caspian, aren't you the sovereign?
Caspian: I am the regent who rules when our mighty leader is absent.
Dorthy: So you're sucking up. Okay, got it.
Caspian: You're sucking up.
Dorthy: No, I'm pretty sure you are.
Caspian: No, you are.
Dorthy: No you.
Caspian: No you.
Dorthy: No you.
Caspian: You.
Dorthy: You.
Caspian: You times infinity.
Dorthy: You times infinity times two!
Caspian: That's not even a thing.
Dorthy: :p

I declare myself the sovereign. See? I've got a crown! *Puts crown on head* I declare that the Welsh language is now illegal. I never want to have to say wynnwynnydd again.

Caspian: *jumps off a trampoline, flies into the air and snatches WarriorSatyr's crown* *strokes crown* My preciousssss.
Frodo: Um, I think that's my line.
Caspian: Oh, okay. *hands Frodo the crown*
Frodo: *strokes crown* My precioussss.
Dorthy: Oh for the love of Gallifrey.:rolleyes:

One needs a lot of context knowledge to make sense of your posts, Mozart. Do you hand out lists of required reading/watching or do you just trust people to do the research themselves?

She probably would hand out lists of required reading/watching if you asked (don't).

WarriorSatyr, I hereby uncrown you. Galwch yr Heddlu! Mae fy hofrenfad yn llawn llyswennod!

Why on Earth (or under the Earth, or in Narnia) does one need to make sense of them?

And at any rate, your comment applies to most of the things in Dufferland.

Oh, yeah. What does this mean? I don't trust google translate to do a good job.

Google translate says it's Welsh (I would've guessed Gaelic, but evidently not) for "Call the police! My hovercraft is full of eels!"

Which... hmm. It's oddly specific, that.

Do eels hijack your hovercraft often, Glen? Is this a common problem? How do you afford a hovercraft? You already have the expenses associated with the care of a mad buffalo.

Anyhow... It opens up a most interesting field of speculation.
