The Lord of the Rings- J.R.R. Tolkien

I'm currently listening to these books on tape (I'm getting towards the end of Fellowship now). I'd forgotten how much I liked them. Middle Earth just seems so real and vivid. The way Tolkien writes it, you feel like you're right there on the journey with them and are just as tired and scared as they are. It's so easy to see the world he created.

It's one of those books for me that stays the same, no matter how many times I read it. Every time it seems just as new and fresh as the last. Middle Earth is very convincing. It would really be easy to write it cheesily (after all, it's about short people and magic rings), but instead it's completely credible and epic.

I'm done geeking out. For now....

Hmmm I decided to complete my LOTR action figure collection. I only need like 7 figures to complete it and I'm a Ringer for life anyway. Non other world can defeat Middle-Earth to me

Good for you Nessa! I commend you on trying to complete your collection. At some point I want to order some more sword replicas and prehaps if I have budget order a few more LOTR TCG decks. :D

Currently I'm reading the Hobbit :D I need to keep the flame alive before my action figures all are going to strangle me :p

Oww yes the TCG decks! I remember you bought Arwen TCG Deck

Aye, I was looking on Amazon at the available decks. Some of them are quite expensive. I shall have to consider if its really worth it. :)

I have always loved Narnia but I would have to say that The Lord of the Rings was one of my first love. I always had dreams of living in the time of the fellowship and helping out. I know it's alittle weird but ya I always had those dreams:)

The detail is beyond amazing! Now THAT'S an awesome hobby.I would have that in a glass case with a sign that says "You touch, you die!" Because after all that work, I think I would cry if anything hapened to it.

On the second blog... I can't believe she made that rug using Paint.

Yah, that's why part of me one's a much more simplistic hobbit hole... one that I would not fear future children playing with

Ooh, nice! :D

I got the LotR extended editions for Christmas, and I've enjoyed re-watching them. :D My sister has copies, but she is loath to let me borrow them for fear I shall break the discs or dent the cases corners. xD I'm glad to have my own copies now. :D

Even though I knew Narnia before LOTR I am and always will be a Ringer. I cannot and will never ever leave this magical world. It grabs you, no matter how many times you have read the books or seen the movies
