OOC: Hearing nothing more from Inkling, I'm going to assume that--

The goblin fell unconscious. Ninecatcher told Retaw, "More important than vengeance is my mission! And we MUST know if there are others like this one close by. We've seen that they can shoot you on the wing; so I'm going to take the low road to search. I gather that your kinsbeast, sadly, didn't make it?"

EDITED AFTER LEARNING MORE OF THE MODS' INTENTIONS:

"To bring the sad warning to Narnian humans that the White Witch is going to be allowed to conquer this land, and humans will have to get out. Now, I must reconnoiter the terrain downwind of us."

"I'll come back to you in a minute, I promise," Ninecatcher told him; "I'm not leaving you, only scouting for more danger. Try to keep down for now;" and she crept off, as she had said, to scout in the downwind direction.

~~ Google is ALSO on the side of Jadis; it caused this site to reject my attempted entry, saying that if no Mod brings new trouble on us, Ninecatcher will finish the recon, then rejoin Retaw to bury the murdered Griffin.

Retaw stood there when he heard something coming from the trees... he turned around and saw that another gobling was there!, the goblin threw an arrow to Retaw but missed, the gobling started running for no reason so Retaw followed him by air, catch him and throw him to the river.

Realizing how inexperienced her new friend was, Ninecatcher took off to follow him at her best running speed, commending their souls to Aslan, for on this background of snow a charging tiger would be a highly visible target for an archer. She tried to spot any additional foes, wondering if the goblins were associated closely with the minotaurs she and Gripstone had fought a week ago.

A Centaur watches the gryphon and tigress from his hiding spot. He has been watching for a while. They seem innocent enough, but he has learned not to trust appearances. Especially, now with the evil white pretender to the throne in power. He scans the clearing once more carefully to make certain that none of Her agents are sneaking up on him. Goblins attack the group and the two render the one unconscious. He watches as the young gryphon pounces on another Goblin and throws it into the water. He smiles grimly, perhaps he is not wrong after all....

A third goblin appeared in the Tigress' view, aiming his bow at the recklessly flying Griffin. The time for mercy clearly past, Ninecatcher put everything into the kind of leap a tiger can make at need, soaring into the enemy archer from twenty feet away. Her mighty jaws closed on his left arm by the shoulder, and ripped it entirely off. Then a blow of her paw to his neck finished him. There appeared to be no other goblins near.

"This way, Retaw! Let's keep together!"

(Mods, indulge me here, please, because we've barely gotten started, and I'd rather not have to wait five more days of real-world time before my character can even speak with Lil's character.)

Retaw saw evertything that happen and was really apreciate to the Tigress for saving him "I can hear someone's comming" he said to Ninecatcher, but unfurtunately he couldn't see it because it was hidden on the woods but you can tell by the hoof steps that it wasn't a goblin.

Ninecatcher sniffed the air. "It smells like the combined smells of a man riding on a horse." Her face brightened. "They told me in Archenland that there are still Centaurs in Narnia. Could this be one of them?"

Turning in the direction of the approaching hoofsteps, the Tigress called out, "If you serve Aslan, declare yourself! If you are Aslan's foe, defend yourself!" She gestured to Retaw to spread out a bit, in case of the second option.

Fuming under his breath, The centaur stomps his hoof on the ground. With his hand on his sword, he emerges. "Who are you?"

"My name is Tigress Ninecatcher. My husband and I have dwelt outside of Narnia's borders, but now have come back to the homeland on an urgent errand." She did not volunteer the whereabouts or current condition of Gripstone, and she did not mention even the existence of the distant enclave of Limtal. "Now, in courtesy, who are you?" // OOC: Remember that the Mods have said Narnia hasn't fallen yet, so the Centaur is not yet a fugitive.

OOC: forgot that for a moment. sorry.

Excuse me, Good Tigress." Here he lowers his grip his sword, only long enough to salute her. He is ever watchful of the surroundings. "My name is Marius, I, to, am on an importance mission. It is for such a reason I watch the borders. These are dangerous days and one cannot be to sure of any travelers into Narnia."

"I never heard of any Centaur NOT being true and faithful to Aslan," she told Marius; "therefore I will explain myself to you further. But the very first thing to say is a very present matter. I know too well that there are evil intruders now stalking Narnia's borders. When my husband Gripstone and I tried crossing the mountains by the less-used path some days ago, we encountered four armed Minotaurs. They attacked us, and we slew them; but my husband, who bore most of the brunt of that fight, was wounded. Humans in Archenland are caring for him now. In addition, perhaps you saw sign of some Goblins? They murdered an adult Griffin, over that way, past my right shoulder."

OOC: I hope nobody minds me naming them.Or Mods that I said a reason, the WW was coming into Narnia. I will change it if there's a problem.

Marius seems to ponder this information. "Minotaurs in the south pass, goblins by the north. Already Her poison is seeping though Narnia." He turns to the tiger, bending down to her level so his words are not easily over heard. "I do not know what business you have here, but whatever you do, do so with the utmost caution. Thing are now set in motion that will not easily be reversed. Narnia grows slothful, forgetting it's maker. It's shield is no more." He looks around, where is the young one? It is not safe for him to be alone, not even while he kin is burried."

"Retaw, come on out!" Ninecatcher called to the surviving Griffin. "This is an honorable being." [UNLESS INDICATED OTHERWISE, I ASSUME RETAW DOES SHOW HIMSELF.] To Marius, she continued:

"I believe Aslan intended for me to meet you, so I will confide something to you which you will not be pleased to hear. I know that the Tree of Protection has perished, although I have dwelt far from Narnia. Aslan told us of this." She sighed, then added: "Aslan said further that not only has the Tree from ancient times died, but so has the faith and loyalty in too many Narnian hearts. Because of this, Aslan told us that, although He could stop Jadis, He will not do so. In fact, He will permit Jadis to hold some special kind of power which, though not made completely clear to us, will somehow be bound up with the Deep Magic of the Narnian world."
