Harry Gregson-Williams’ LWW ‘Grand Orchestral Suite’ to have World Premiere

The Colorado Symphony Orchestra (CSO) will premiere award-winning composer Harry Gregson-Williams’ “Grand Orchestral Suite” from the critically acclaimed The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe orchestrated and conducted by Gregson-Williams, Friday, May 18, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, May 19, 2007 at 2:30 p.m. at Boettcher Concert Hall in Denver. The concert will include images from the blockbuster movie.

Among Richard Attenborough’s narrative triumphs was 1994’s Shadowlands, a glimpse into the later years of admired British scholar and author C. S. Lewis. In his career of biographical storytelling, Attenborough would experience the full range of success, from the heights of Gandhi to the failures of Chaplin, and while Shadowlands is not anywhere near as well known as many of his other pictures, Attenborough’s telling of the friendship and love between Lewis and American poet Joy Gresham is widely regarded as a nearly flawless film.

‘Narnia’ Composer Harry Gregson-Williams Honored for Outstanding Career Achievement

BMI honored the composers and songwriters of the music from the past year’s top-grossing films, top-rated prime-time network television series and highest-ranking cable network programs at its annual Film & Television Awards. Held May 17 at the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel, the black-tie gala was hosted by BMI President & CEO Del Bryant and Film/TV Relations Vice President Doreen Ringer Ross, who handed out more than 100 BMI Crystals throughout the evening.

BMI honors ‘Narnia’ composer at 2006 Film/TV Awards

BMI composer Harry Gregson-Williams will receive the 2006 Richard Kirk Award for Outstanding Career Achievement at the performing right organization’s Film & Television Awards slated for Wednesday, May 17 at the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills. The British-born composer, who was named Composer of the Year at the 2005 Hollywood Film Festival, is currently working on the Narnia sequel, Prince Caspian.

LWW Soundtrack that We Want to Own

These albums/songs do are not on the official soundtrack, but are available on a Bootleg CD. Hopefully Disney will one day release it onto CD. Bootlegs are not legal, and I do not know how to get a copy of this, and do not own one myself. I am personally going to wait for Disney. This is on the website to raise awareness to music fans, that there is more music that could be released for the 2005 film The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
