Coming in from all over the web, we have box office numbers that are all saying one thing: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe has taken first place in the box office race, and taken it by storm.

While the glittering premieres are being held overseas, the New Zealand “back office” of two potentially massive blockbusters is again celebrating Kiwi-made films hitting the world stage.

They pulled out all the stops for last night’s premiere of ‘The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe’ – even going as far as falling snow.

“The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch & the Wardrobe,” which opens Friday amid overwhelming early praise, is a slam-dunk to end Harry Potter’s three-week reign at the North American box office.

THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE is now open!
