Film Composer Harry Gregson-Williams has scored Ridley Scott’s recent release “Kingdom of Heaven” and completed scores for two new releases; Tony Scott’s “Domino” as well as “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe” by director Andrew Adamson at his new production facility, Wavecrest Music.

“At some stage, I heard there were plans to move the story to LA,” says producer Mark Johnson, blanching. “Not a good idea. It’s great that they’re British kids. They come from a more restricted place and have that much further to go. They have school uniforms and manners, whereas American kids.” He trails off, diplomatically.

Howard Berger from the KNB EFX Group, Inc., responsible for prosthetics and animatronics in the making of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe and he has a unique view on the creation of the film. He also shared several incredible pictures of the animatronic Aslan. Major Spoiler Images!!

RIF’s World of Narnia Art Contest invites children ages 5 to 15 to create their own artistic vision of the magical land of Narnia, the setting for the seven-book “Chronicles of Narnia” series by C.S. Lewis. Entrants may use paint, markers, collage, photography, computer animated graphics, or even crayons to present their ideas.

IGN FilmForce spent some time on the sets of Narnia towards the end of 2004. Besides touring the sets, meeting members of the cast and crew and even hanging with some wolves, FilmForce was taken on a very extensive tour of the WETA studios led by Taylor himself.

Season One of Lost hits DVD today, which is a little more than a month away, but still too far off for my tastes. On the DVD is a Narnia trailer. This is the SAME trailer that was attached to Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith earlier this year, not an all new one.

ComingSoon.net has spoken with the people behind the effects in Narnia, the crack team of Richard Taylor and Dean Wright of Weta FX (“The Lord of the Rings” trilogy) working with make-up effects specialist Howard Berger of KNB FX. Essentially, the three men supervised a huge crew of people to combine make-up and practical on-set effects with groundbreaking computer-generated digital effects.
