The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe Makes the Daily Mail’s Top 50 List!

With not only the year nearing it’s end, but the decade wrapping up as well, many publications are releasing their best movies of the decade list. The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe made # 15 on London’s The Daily Mail list of Top 50 films of the decade.

Here is what they say:

15. The Chronicles Of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe (2005)
A wonderful realisation of C.S. Lewis’s children’s classic which captures everything good about the novel, including its charm, sense of wonder and feeling for myth.

And for those who are wondering which movie got the number one spot, it is The Lord of the Rings. Not surpisingly, the Lord of the Rings has made every single top movies of the decade list. That is an accolade that movie truly deserves ( I say movie, not movies as both Tolkien and Peter Jackson viewed the Lord of the Rings as one story split into three parts, and not a trilogy in the strict sense) and to those involved in the project, I say, “well done!” Check out the source link below to see what other movies made the list.

  2. Yay! That’s so cool! I love both those worlds and I’m so glad to see them recognized like this!

  3. Good for Narnia and Middle Earth! Tolkien and Lewis both deserve whatever recognition they get. The Narnia and Lord of the Rings movies are some of my all-time favorites. 🙂

In response to Lilly, I think Prince Caspian is a GREAT movie. I love the way it brings the characters to life, and shows us how the Pevensies were struggling to adjust to life in England again. I think its just as good as The Lion, the Witch, and The Wardrobe in its own way.

Sorry I couldn’t put this as a response. My reply button doesn’t work. 😀
