In 1947 TIME Magazine put C.S. Lewis on the cover, now his books have been included on the TIME list of 100 best fantasy books. The two Narnia books featured on the list were The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe and The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. It is quite common for The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe to receive recognition since it is the most popular book in the series, but The Voyage of the Dawn Treader rarely gets this type of acknowledgement since it falls to sixth in the popularity based on Amazon sales rank.
This list was curated by a panel of fantasy authors including Neil Gaiman and George R.R. Martin. All three Lord of the Rings books were also included in this collection. See the full list here:
A world traveling theme park engineer and Narniaexpert. I first heard the Chronicles of Narnia read to me when I was five. Ever since I have loved the books and fantasized about how I would like to see them made into films. Since 2006 I have been involved with NarniaFans.com where I am eager to expand my understanding of C.S. Lewis and see The Chronicles of Narnia adapted into film and other mediums.
