The Horse and His Boy 71st Anniversary (Teaser Trailer)

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Horse and His Boy

Originally published on September 6, 1954, it has been 71 years since the fifth installment of The Chronicles of Narnia was published. The Horse and His Boy whisks us away to the southern lands of Calormen, where a young boy named Shasta discovers his fate is intertwined with that of a talking Narnian horse, Bree. Together, they plan a daring escape to the freedom of the North. Along the way, they join forces with another pair of runaways—a young noblewoman named Aravis and her talking mare, Hwin—on a journey filled with danger, discovery, and adventure.

What makes this story so unique is that it’s the only book in the series that doesn’t feature children from our world, taking place entirely within the Narnian universe during the Pevensies’ Golden Age reign. It’s a tale of identity, courage, and providence that remains a fan favorite. Though it has been adapted for the stage, many of us have wondered what a full-scale movie adaptation might look like, especially with a new Narnia universe being created by NETFLIX.

This incredible fan-made trailer explores that very “what if” scenario, giving us a glimpse of how the story’s epic scope could be brought to life on screen. Blending clips from stage production by Logos Theatre and epic films, it captures the heart of Shasta and Aravis’s desperate journey toward a home they’ve never known. It’s a wonderful, passion-driven tribute to a beloved classic.

For Narnia and the North!
